more than enough for bans, game is way too boring with instalock jett reyna etc
League of Legends started with 40 champions and currently stands at 171 champions. This was a quantity that could sustain an agent-ban with no mirror picks.
I agree that Valorant needs some drastic change for certain maps because it is absurd how comps from 2021 can be meta in 2025. I missed when Riot would at least change up details in a map so there was some difference in the gameplay. I understand that for some maps it's a case of "if it's not broke, don't fix it". However, there are several maps will fairly stale metas that could be spiced up.
The idea of not having mirror match-ups is a nice idea since it's akin to other games like R6. However, there aren't really enough agents to balance out bans. You've got agents like Omen who have an incredibly high pick-rate and then agents like Harbor and Breach who are never getting picked.
poppin can play sova and fade both, eggsterr would probably have more of a problem here but since each team would theoretically ban 2 roles i guess envy would hope to ban a different duelist
stale metas, instalocks, op agents on release, why wouldnt u want some bans
omen viper sova, but mainly needed for ranked, ranked is on a decline with literally no changes except for the remake shit theyre doing which will only make things worse tbh

Ngl barely any of this is true a lot of the ranked issues in my opinion have nothing to do with the game itself get people to change and ranked would be way better but that's not happening
Shocker like many other games in existence, I doubt many people believed Valorant a live service game to survive till 2200.
Agent bans can only be useful if VCT has reached its ceiling, cause if not it would reduce the level of play by a lot.
agent bans will ruin competitive valorant. watch teams who are required to play their permaban, or the level of play in the experimental pick ban 3rd party tournaments they've done. the level of gameplay is so low and unenjoyable. if you think 2 agent bans and no mirroring would make it 'sm more interesting,' than you watch valorant at a silver level already.
yes remove most of the strategic depth and devolve pro matches to ranked shitfests
