  1. Give tier 1 teams guaranteed slots, which secure them for 4 years
  2. Now remove 2 orgs in 2 years (sure, one of them was bleed who weren't franchised, but their contract in VCT was for 2 years) and now KOI
2 undermines 1, ig this system is dysfunctional. How can we be sure that orgs like FURIA, C9, EG are safe? What riot defy as "breach of the team's contractual agreement with the league.''?

Things they ask KOI to do. This case was streaming games which KOI didn't do ig.
Though, the CEO tweeted saying it had nothing to do with their performance, and it was that Riot didn't like KOI's alternative solutions to things they couldn't meet in the contract

if riot kicked KOI because they didn't stream games it might actually be restarted. Or they just needed an excuse to get some bigger org in their place, perhaps?

Ig it's to try promoting viewers to watch the games, which is fine but kicking for that without notice is definitely stupid. But I'm not Riot so maybe it is a bigger deal than it looks but idk.

I mean surely they need to make it public which clauses weren't met, no?

Why? It's between Riot and the org. Sure, this situation could've been handled better by Riot, but that doesn't mean the agreement should be made public domain

no reason for the org to make themselves look even worse by saying exactly what they couldnt deliver

vct is partnership system so riot pays them to be there. there wont be a shortage of teams that wants to replace koi, and any team that riot kicks out

riot pays them, but it doesn't mean riot covers all of the expenses.

so there's this thing called a contract, and if you breach it then they dont have to uphold their end either
