He’s been the talk of the town on VLR recently. Do you personally think Kaplan has handled the situation well? For me, going into the year I was expecting a lot more double dive comps, along with swapping the sova/fade work with zekken. Obviously their curtain method works bc they’ve made every international, just curious about others opinions

I think he’s literally too good for SEN who seem to still rely on zekken to backpack them. N4RRATE should have more freedom to do what he wants, he was a legit god KC and ended up as the mvp of this season’s reg split yet kaplan still wants them to wait for zekken to do everything. Shit doesn’t makes sense, he’s not a contact player he’s an aggressive fragger
like u saw how reliant SEN was on zekken just yesterday? they’re too scared to even rush sites most of the time if zekken gets picked early they have no balls no matter the numbers without him. zekken first contact this, zekken swing that, zekken paypal me a band it’s so sad. if he doesn’t show up JohnQT has an aneurysm while kaplan shouts to save every other round
Kaplan values the initiators life too much maybe, he gave Tenz quite a lot of freedom. Also the point about zekken, I definitely agree last year it was Tenz and zekken were the play makers now it so reliant on zekken if he goes down the round ends
it’s so stupid to the point where I actually wanna see n4rrate and zekken swap roles. N4rrate can flex a godlike Jett give him it and play good team-based Valorant

well i was more talking about the solo carry duelist potential instead of the duelist flex in KC but i get your point
That’s the thing, sen last year had way more freedom because star player like tenz are not tied to a certain role, allowing for more play making potential. With n4rrate, he is tied to the scan initiator role, and yes, he is doing a good job on that role. However, considering he’s sen’s second star player, it’s limiting his play-making potential, but now they can’t just switch him to the second entry role and expect him to drop 20+. It’s sen’s fault for limiting the play-making potential of their players and now it’s too late to change that.
This might be a hot take, but I’m surprised narrate agreed to play scan back on KC. I feel like his playstyle will always suit aggressor roles better kinda like Tenz

it also surprised me recently that prior to this year, n4rrate wasnt a sova player despite playing fade for kc, he has always been a duelist player
Well tbf they played n4rrate on duelist like twice and they lost both maps (I mean tbf it was against g2 both times). N4rrate himself didn't look bad (he did get diffed by trent in iso ult a couple too many times tho), but the team play around the double duelist comp was NOT cooking. Zekken can only play duelist, so he kind of either has to really just grind out double duelist before champs, or focus on solo duelist with zekken
I don’t expect Kaplan to change comps for champs, this is just food for thought. Also he’s just not an iso player clearly lol
