FNATIC were in their best form and PRX had something. Everyone had those two as the top 2 teams & EG felt like they were left out compared to those two teams
2022 loud were definitely underdogs especially after copenhagen
2023 was the best underdog story in all of valorant there is 0 way eg were not underdogs
both teams did good in the masters prior to champs tho i don't get how they're considered underdogs
they were literally top 3 teams going into champs
eg did well in tokyo yes but loud also had a bad tourney, prx were playing with a sub, drx had termi perma fucking zest and foxy9, and navi was falling off. The only teams that were at their peak that tournament were nrg liquid and fnc, and that too eg lost gf 0-3
champs was way more competitive, where we saw that teams that were previously considered ok to pretty good like prx and edg became actual threats, and teams like loud and drx that shit the bed at tokyo actually dialed tf in
i agree for the most part except for PRX. they were already considered as a top 2 team since they got 3rd in tokyo with cgrs & something had a lot of hype
with the way this year has been going, this is hardly a hot take anymore. The real hot take is who is the real underdog here.
honestly good take. I only saw them play a few times and they looked really fresh. Love the personality on that team especially the two dudes with red and blue hair.
nAts is criminally overrated. People argue nAts is one of the best players ever and hugely impactful, but we have no evidence of that past 2021. Very little team success and his stats are nothing special
people have decided that nats is somehow better all time despite mediocre finishes throughout the years after 2021 than alfajer who has made numerous finals and has won more trophies than nats

This is actually a good take, this man has been consistently bringing success to CIS even from his CS days (mf took fucking Hellraisers to London major).
I'd have Saadhak above him, but it's purely bias, he's really a top 3 IGL of all times.

G2 or Sen will get grouped at champs
Considering the current qualify context and the potential seeding G2/SEN (considering at least one of them will be at finals and win) might be in a death group with potentially FNC/TH, T1/DRX/RRQ and EDG and i think maybe they won't survive this one
The main reason I believe that the finals is most certainly being CN x APAC is seeding, Americas and EMEA are definetly getting death grouped.
Can't wait to see TH and SEN fans complain about this like they were winning anything at all LOL
FNC and TH (and MIBR to an extent) inconsistency will put them on a heavily disfavourable position on seeding but they also will have like extra two weeks to prepare to champions. Top seeds will need to watch out for this.
DRG will make a run or whoever will be the lowest rated team by content creators before champs

pacific OVERALL are not the best region, they are just very top and bottom heavy
emea OVERALL has more b-a tier teams like bbl navi gx kc and vit whereas pacific teams fall much more into either a-s like geng prx t1 and drx or like bottom of the barrel like ge ts zeta boom
