That there is a plausible chance that either sen or g2 (if they keep babybay for rest of playoffs) dont make gf, and kick out mibr via points, especially considering that a team like lev or c9 can quickly build up proper momentum and sneak an upset against a sen or g2 thats having an off day

it doesnt matter kru is out mibr has h2h against everyone else

it would only matter if NEITHER sen or g2 make grand finals

whichever team is at 10 points would be in the finals in that case, sen/g2 would take 3rd seed and mibr 45)

one of these teams is guaranteed playoffs and mibr is already minimum 4th in points while beating every team in the head to head

mibr is guaranteed champs

wait what if teams like nrg and c9 end up making lower finals/semis, then they would have more points than mibr + nrg beat them h2h in stage 2 and c9 havent even played them stage 2, then even if either didnt make gfs wouldnt they both still make champs over mibr?

a 6-point team MUST make top 3 in order to make champs, because 6+3=9 won't do it. however, 2/3 of the top 3 are taken by G2/SEN already, so this is impossible

in your example, point to nrg and c9 in the bracket, and draw a line towards the lower finals. you will see they collide

ah ok

ts weird man lets just bring back lcq...

Whats the point of playoffs immediately followed by LCQ aka basically just playoffs again. If you want LCQ then master Toronto teams should already qualify to Champs automatically or something and then LCQ for the remaining teams (tbh I wouldnt mind a similar format to 2023 though).

it’s essentially LCQ from here onwards 😭

both teams can’t make lower finals

and again, mibr beats both teams in the h2h

yeah i was going off the thought that if one team went out in lower semis that they would have as many/more points than mibr and a team like nrg beat mibr in h2h

With an actual good format your argument would make sense but unfortunately this is americas we’re talking about

theres at least one from G2 and SEN on finals. which means top 3 is already locked with two of them. only one from nrg/c9/eg/100t gets to the lower final, so only one of them reaches mibr in points. with two spots for the finals and two spots for points, mibr has one point spot locked in, since theres two free spots if the final gets sen vs g2, and one free spot if theres another team

mibr
nrg/c9/eg/100t/(SEN/G2)
Sen/(final team
G2/(final team)

G2, MIBR, SEN, and whoever currently in the lower bracket gets top 3 (unless LEV gets exactly 3rd, in which case it goes to whoever gets 4th)

its literally not possible, lets say sen make grandfinals. g2 are guaranteed minimum 3rd place. Lets say lev make a run and get 2nd. The last slot is the 4th spot so no other team can beat mibr in points, the only team that could was kru and they were eliminated
