He was absolute class in Champs and contributed big time to the win

Okay 1 masters, 1 champs definitely better >> 2nd place. Also karon had masters and pacific trophy
yeah but they played like they couldve won the trophies, ofc the trophies do matter but it doesnt devalue them completely
s1mon was only around 1/3 of the year, there's absolutely no way he should be considered unless there's no other competition
all the team heretics / edg rookies were only good for 1/2 of the year or 1/3 of the year in s1mons case
karon was consistent all year AND won a trophy
karon was in for 2 grand finals and still was good for geng the whole season, not to discredit s1mon cause he was great for edg and definitely contributed to their win but you cant say that someone who played half of stage 2 and champs is deserving of rookie of the year especially considering that karon had literally no professional experience past tier 3 and then contributed massively (not just in util, but kills) to geng coming 2nd place then winning shanghai
