Whatever region that is currently most likely to win this tournament is going to stake their life on saying EWC isn't Mickey Mouse and the other regions are going to say it isn't. I think it's Mickey as fuck and will always be of that opinion but it's kinda funny seeing people so desperate to push their agenda. and yes the main reason players are trying to win is to win the trophy and the prestige that comes with it not for the prize pool. For a lot of teams at least. 100k per player sounds a lot and it is but many teams make that in a few months. And that's not even considering the fact that orgs take some of the winning money as well.

i’d say it’s mickey in that it’s not vct and it’s not worth anything (except the prize money), but the best teams ended up on top, and the winner tomorrow is the current best team in the world
