Would you consider him to be in the top 5 greatest brazilian players of all time? Was talking to a friend about this, I think he had top 3 potential but realistically he's somewhere in 7-10. He told me I had 0 ball knowledge, what do you all think?

Ronaldo Nazario, Carlos Alberto, Roberto Carlos should all be be above him as well, if you look at career and impact and probably all the best in their position ever. Ronaldinho you could argue was better as well but I wouldnt say for sure.
Marcelo has the most trophies ever or something? But I wouldnt say he's better than Neymar.
Players like Garrincha, Romario, Jairzinho i never saw play so cant argue much and im probably forgetting a few as well

If we’re talking about quality i’d only put pele and R9 above him, if it’s achievements he’ll drop quite a bit

Top 5 for sure maybe top 3 if we talking about prime. Only pele and r9 is above him without a single doubt in my mind. Ronaldinho and roberto carlos are the most overrated football player along with cr7, beckham and zidane.

It depends. As a Brazilian overall carreer? He's probably between 5-10. As a player for Brazil squad? Not even top 15
