On the SEA server, I queue into 12-year-old kids every single day. It's so easy to end up in a match with some guy tryharding to carry noob girls to show off. Now try finding that kind of stuff in CS it’s actually a challenge.

bro I see your view but man listen if you make the overall show entertaining to watch you will get more viewers right so even in the worse case scenario they lose all their old sponsors , they will get new sponsors who like it being run the way it is or it will be right and like ya it is owned by TenCent which is owned by a chinese company and if u know anything abt china you know that they like their companies being run a certain way. I would like to pick a point .... CS's main sponsers are gambling sites which are obviously 18+ and Val loves to make the esports watchable for every age (although the players have to be 18+ ... ik RIto logic) so they don't want any gambling sites to sponsor them .... while other brands are really fucking sensitive about these as they don't want any controversies or bad rep sorrounding so to control the sponsors Rito has to be sensitive to even if they want to be wild and idgaf like environment
I know but they really have to cater to China right now. Their fan base for valorant now completely dwarfs every other region.. and Chinese companies like tencent are way too modest to allow these gambling sponsors etc which sucks and I wish it could be less catered towards.

Even your favourite valorant player probably prefers cs as an esport purely from a viewer standpoint. Humans are designed to feed off hype, and cs is by nature a way more hype game to watch than valorant in big events. Without even comparing the games gameplay wise.
Look I think Valorant esports is getting more hype, there's more of that trash talk that people like, we're getting more cool personalities and just the level of play is getting better
But like it's still a long way to go compared to CS, they been having majors since like 2002 or something, it's obviously gonna be better and there's no shame in admitting that.
Valorant esports (idk about the game itself tbh) will get better as time goes on, they just need to start caring about stuff before there's some public outrage on twitter happening.
