Amount of excuses 1st seed teams are making and them tweeting about changing the format is absurd. You guys never complained about experience gap when the similar format was implemented at 2023 Tokyo and 3/4 1st seeds won their opening game at playoffs but now you guys complain?
Get a grip and have a better excuse. Reality is XLG and RRQ were really nervous and we havent seen them be good without tejo esp. crazyguy, and G2 and FNC lost really close matches against good opponents.

G2 losing vs PRX was kinda unexpected tho

Even after seeing G2 struggle in Americas with tejo at its peak? It was a 60/40 matchup at very least and 40% turned into reality this time

yes…everyone already know about the advantages/disadvantages of being 1st seeds blah blah

but a true aura team would sweep their opponents even if they went in cold
so let’s just a hold higher expectations of teams from now on.
they are 1st seeds, they are meant to perform.

Tokyo was different because there wasnt a huge meta shift

idk if this applied to tokyo as well, but the tejo nerfs impacted the first seeds more, since they were pretty much all tejo abusers

yeah, tokyo and lock-in were basically the same meta

Yeah I mean I don't understand it like for sure as all the 1st seeds lost there maybe something disadvantages or something like that but like I did not see a single person saying until they all lost so like if they tweet it now ofc everyone will think that they are making excuses even if they are right. No one is even eliminated till now atleast finish the tournament first

I mean there are stats that shows first seed dropping every second masters like it’s 0/4 than Shanghai which was 1/4
