money, of course. some might also want to be in a more familiar environment, or maybe not play in lan or in t1 (don't want to same backlash, say flor got before yknow the incident). but, i do think it would be cool if there were more t1 gc players.
srn is incredibly talented and im sure they have a future wherever they want to play
no disrespect to them but starbound is an awper in a league that doesnt understand how to play against awpers (im saying this as a GC player)
For example look at bob who participates in both GC and tier 2, Bob is really good in GC but compared to some of the other tier 2 duelist is just kind of okay

this is also bc theyre matchfixing but still
I mean yes but bob was the easiest example, but I also don't think Bob match fixes in GC maybe just tier 2
money
less getting clowned on/less hate to them if they underperform
might feel more safe/at home in gc among other women/trans women instead of men (theres a reason theres a gc circuit in the first place)
t2 is cooked (at least in na), and most gc players arent t1 caliber
Way easier to stay in GC farming $$ and winning against easier opponents than to jump to Tier 2 where you will earn less money and have it pretty difficult to ascend to Tier 1
Probably a decently sized buyout that tier 2 teams aren’t willing to commit to. And simply too much competition for tier 1.
