Why do people think G2 is boring?

They play a very fundamental Valorant, incredibly high level macro and very highly skilled individuals.

Why do people hate this kind of playstyle?

It is much better than the garbage all aim no brain playstyle that teams like Poopa Rex or Team Horrible relies on.

because putting tejo missiles on the spike is cringe and removes a lot of variability in the round. i like not knowing who will win a postplant 1v1 until the swing but tejo removes that variability and its cringe

I mean the hate will still be there even after Tejo falls off the meta in Toronto, which is what I also don't like seeing against G2

Real, G2 weren't in tier 1 during 2023 so when they ascended in 2024 they had one of the most boring playstyles of all time, they'd be in spawn gooning with like 20 seconds left in the round

they picked up jawgemo which seemed like it would be good for the team's watchability since he's a fun duelist, i still wouldn't root for G2 after falling asleep every time they played last year but like

and then when tejo came out they instantly jumped on the boring train again

being an ascension team you want to maximise your chances of winning a trophy so they kinda have to prove themselves for 2027 franchising and thats just their way of doing it

They outplay their opponents so hard every time it's extremely frustrating to watch, especially when you're rooting against them.

You need people that can pull off absolute hero plays to even stand a chance against them, which is why T1 somehow managed to defeat them at Bangkok. They had hero plays from Meteor, iZu and stax at crucial moments to bail them out.

They used to be boring to watch
Not anymore with Jawg, crazy stinger forces, etc.
I think people are just regurgitating takes from last year
they are entertaining now IMO

Slow and strat based play, people like the teams with aimers who can get flashy solo plays like sen’s zekken or mibr’s aspas. G2
Is way more team based and meta abusing with perfect util placement rather than perfect aim. (Dont get me wrong, aspas and zekken are amazing players, im just using them as an example of a fun player to watch)

wdym G2 isn't boring at all. Trent, valyn, leaf, JonahP, leaf are all equally at the same phase. Idk why G2 is overhated, ig it's the TH, SEN and PRX fans who are frustrated by watching G2 anti-strating of all these flashy teams. NGL, trent and leaf have some flashy games. G2 players are my favourite since TGRD days !!
