Suspicious NA Challenger teams

I took a glance at the Stage 1 and Stage 2 teams and a few of these teams seem very sus:

Burger Boys - These guys were noobs in Stage 1 and they made playoff in Stage 2 with a solid 4-2 record. They beat Blue Otter twice, and then Blue Otter beat SRB to knock Sean Gares' team out of the playoffs. Blue Otter looks very SUS in this situation.

Why would Blue Otter do it? Because they're a team of perma T2 players who don't have a shot of making VCT. Fixing games is a great way to make some money.

Ambrosia - Who the hell are these guys? Didn't play in Stage 1 and are beating teams like M80, Cubert, and Winthrop. Someone on M80 or Winthrop must have taken a dive. I don't think Cubert is involved because they're part of SEN and they were testing Nightz on duelist here.

SaD - This is my #1 team that I'm confident in that has some match fixing. SaD had Nabil in stage 1 who is a known stream sniper and got banned from ESEA for queuing with cheaters.

QoR and NBG also seem sus to me because of how much they regressed from Stage 1. Match fixing for money is a no brainer for any T2 player who doesn't have a shot at the few VCT slots.

I think your list is pretty good apart from NBG because they weren't even that good in stage 1

Also I think the most sus is Ambrosia because they went from 1-4 in stage 1 to 4-1 in stage 2, and Burger Boys seem pretty sus too.

this does not make a lot of sense. You should be looking at the teams that are losing games you would not expect them to lose and not teams that are overachieving. Throwing is the way to fix matches. look at teams like TSM or SRB.

Crazy because sym is allegedly crypto betting… someone said ionz and canezerra, NV could be in on it. SRB does look sus themselves, from winning split 1 and not being able to make PO split 2??? Even if orgs are great, it doesn’t mean players won’t go ahead and make money and be selfish.

here's some insight into our improvement from stage 1. :D after we were 1-3 in split 1 we made an igl change to making retrQ the igl and found significant progress shortly after, winning the MFH 10k LAN. we then made a roster change, picking up practo for matt and swapped some roles around. Retrq went to his most comfortable role(flex) and after i struggled the first 2 weeks of this split, me and alvin swapped roles putting him on senti and me smokes and it has felt really good since

I think most people are missing that the suspicious teams won't be the ones who have had a big improvement or big downgrade split to split but the teams that are extremely bipolar in their skill level. I think that was sean's biggest point was the team that randomly go from very good to no fundamentals in a couple of games. and also didn't the video show Bray outing two teams that he works with?

Ambrosia is a premier team. They qualified directly into Stage 3 of 2024
