Thoughts on APAC Teams?

Firstly wanna say ggs! to RRQ and I definitely am not taking away from their win!

Last year PRX and GENG came 1st-3rd every VCT Pacific event and were definitely the dominant teams. And now, they still did good but there seems to be more questions around them / they don't seem to be as obvious the leaders of APAC.

I was just wondering if y'all had any thoughts on if this is due to PRX and GENG maybe slipping a lil and not looking as dominant (again don't wanna take away from them, they still did really well!) Or are the other teams in the region stepping up and making it even more competitive than than last year? Just wondering the general consensus.

Edit: I guess I'm asking, do you all think this region is so competitive and it's close because PRX/GENG are maybe not looking as good as last year or is it because the other teams have improved?

Objectively Americas is the best region heading into Toronto. Other regions may be variables but this is a constant

I think teams have begun evolving with bangkok not having prx or geng just t1 drx , the game has definitely been stepped up almost by everyone ( well maybe except secret ) to be honest the promising ones for this tournament were boom t1( mb) but playoffs definitely spoke for itself.. I guess rrq had it in them for a while now and almost everyone thought they wud choke but they managed to pull it off... The grinds been on for most of them team ... The region is competitive and promising for most of the non dominating team to rise up.

every region looks weak this year...

there's only 2 really insane teams i'd say (heretics and g2)

xlg and blg look good, but idk how good they would do in the internationals

geng looks good enough, they could upset the better teams. prx is a wildcard rn, they could be insane, but they barely qualified to toronto

sen and mibr look great, but sen is inconsistent and their form depends on their momentum

fnc is great, they will beat other top 2s, and maybe top 1s, but i don't see them winning the event. and the third spot for emea will get eliminated in groups

G2 is still the favorite to win toronto

but i feel like Pacific got the best representative

RRQ is the rising stars
GEN and PRX are known dominators in international and they still adjusting with their new member

EMEA close second with TH, FNC, adding Liquid they will get good representative

gameplan/macro wise RRQ is probably by far the best imo. the gameplans are just too well thought out and their map pool is decent (lots of pocket picks, okay on the bans and plays half decent on the maps they don't usually pick into)

GenG/DRX is a close second. Korean teams have always been really good macro-wise, but the old-style comps on maps like Lotus is holding them back so much. double smokes just not it in the Tejo meta (obviously this will change, let's see what happens next)

PRX is much more flexible now, plays much more thoughtfully while still keeping some semblance of that deathball execute heavy style. if they get better at this they might be incredibly dangerous imo

tbh i agree, pacific is premiere league (most competitive) while americas is la liga (2 giants, g2 sen as madrid barca)

Top 3 are close (RRQ PRX GEN.G)
DRX have decent coaching staff and gameplan, good fundamental. But individually, Beyn and Estrella are burden
T1 will be better, they need to prep and rest after horrible stage 1 result
Boom need to focus more on Mental (all of the players) and Famouz consistency is questionable, he is either on top or dead bottom
Talon, i can't describe this team, total random
NS, they are in impostor syndrome state. Need to improve their teamwork and how to not play around Neon

Pacific is looking horrible for Toronto
All 3 teams lack any form of consistency. Only team I expect to do something is GenG
With RRQ, one bad day for Jemkin, and it's over
For PRX, total incosistency

Eitherway, Paciifc unfortunately ain't winning this one
