I want MIBR to lose

HEAR ME OUT you can call me crazy if you want but thats something i actually believe in

I dont want MIBR to win Americas Stage 1 because i dont think it will be good for them to go to Toronto as #1 seed. For most teams going straight to playoffs on Toronto should be really good, but for MIBR i dont think it would. They are a team that needs to have momentum, like the first game they play on tournaments is usually the worst and the more they play the better they become. If they go straight to playoffs they will have no time to heat up and will be throw directly into the fray which i think is dangerous for a team like MIBR, especially considering it will be the first international for 4/5 players there, i think they will NEED the extra games of Swiss Stage to get their momentum going and get used to the international stage and competition, i genuinely believe they will be much more prepared to playoffs if they go through swiss first and beat some weaker teams before fighting the big dogs on playoffs. Stage 1 doesnt even matter that much since Riot only considers winning Stage 2 as winning Americas in that given year so who cares

I guess this is fair enough
Regardless I want them to be really tested in Americas, long and tough series
I hope I'm wrong but by watching their streams and the comms videos I'm under the impression that cortezia and xenom might be prone to tilting

i agree they do tilt sometimes, but doesnt look like a big problem yet. Honestly i think MIBR has one of the strongest mentals out of every team right now, i mean they havent lost an overtime this year including a 21-19 against SEN and even thou they throw some leads they always close-out the games anyway. Also pressure is not a problem for then, if anything pressure makes then better. Like the highest pressure game they played yet was the one vs KRU and it was also their best game of the year while the worst one was vs FURIA which was worth nothing so im inclined to believe they actually need high stakes to perform (another reason it should be better for them to not be 1st seed)

Good points, especially the vs. Kru/vs. Furia games
And it make sense too, if you watch their vlogs its clear how important it is to hype up and have high energy on the matches

Wouldn’t a loss here just take all their momentun away? I guess if it’s really close then it could be good, but i used to think the same thing about 2022 loud and this was never an issue

i mean we have more than a month until Toronto begins so it will be a total reset anyway. Also losing teaches a lot more than winning so they will be more drilled if they lose in Americas and sharp their game for Toronto
