I just cant really keep up with the game like actually and my dream of being a pro valorant player is impossible. im asc2 and i been stuck their like a eternity. i just think that becoming a pro player is like 1/100 chance or train a lot or be lucky. idk if i need to change roles to play better or have better mechanics or to leave the game. i just feel my brain burn and my hands weak. In my rank games. people are just toxic and i get it why and people just throw games like it doesnt even worth it to play it when is like 3-7. is impossible to rank up i already feel like i pass to my limits and i cant get better.

if u reach a mental block like that u should take a break

but don't make the break too long so that ur skills won't be lost

tbh the biggest component to improving is enjoying the process - if you dont enjoy it then find another skill or project to tackle

Mental part is the hardest thing, if it is really your dream, don't give up. I am not saying make it the first and only priority but if you can manage your time, you can still continue following your dreams.

If you feel stuck you have to train more, util, aim mechanics, communication etc. Keep up with the current meta and use them. Have fun

if you actually want to play at the high levels, just stop playing ranked as your main valorant and join a team. tons of t3 teams will be willing to tryout an ascendant player just by the nature of the scene.

You have to enjoy the process to improve and the best way for you to do it is to NOT play the game 24/7 taking breaks is the best way to improve you get a reset and comeback with new energy to figure out your mistakes and improve

i say all this and still think you should quit it would be so much better for your mental health to lock in at something else that's worth while and isn't a complete and utter waste of time but take Big break and see where you land

if you still aren't enjoying the video game quit lowk
being valorant pro shouldn't be anyone's dream if i am being honest

Hey man, I hope you're doing better. I'm going to try to give you some tips and try to make it into a step by step process. And for credibility reasons, I've peaked Radiant 532 last year in PAC servers and I have coached a few people from Silver to Ascendant; but honestly I can't boast about it because I was blatantly carried and abused the 5 stack system that you can no longer do since riot fixed it. I'll try to be as detailed so people from lower ranks can follow along but its mostly suited for Diamond+ elo.

General tips:

  1. Be nice to your ranked teammates, toxicity only loses you games and gets you banned.
  2. Point of playing a video game is having fun. When you're not having fun, don't play the game.
  3. You need to stop caring about your rank/RR too much.

Now divide Valorant's skills into 2 core principals.

  1. Mechanics (your active aim, movement, different jumps etc)
  2. Game sense (your positioning, util usage, passive aim using crosshair placement)

we need to train both and see them as your skill tree in an RPG game.

So for mechanics:

  1. Get a simple 10-15 min warm up routine.
  2. Focus on fixing one thing at a time in death match.
  3. Aim Train with Kovacs or Aimlabs everyday after you're done playing matches. Get a 30-40 min routine and you'll be fine.

like first you get your burst firing at level 6, then you get your strafing at level 6 and move on to level 7 when all your mechanics are at level 6.

best mechanics content creator that I have learned things from is Zasko III

Now for game sense we need acknowledge that you cannot track your progress like you can with your mechanics. Tips for this would be:

  1. Stick to 1 agent or 2 at max. Until you hit Immortal 2, keep maining one agent with a secondary just in case your main gets locked. Better if your secondary a different role.
  2. Create a simple playbook on every map for your agents. I personally mix playbooks of a streamer and a pro so I get best of both worlds. For example: if you're an Omen main you can watch Dr. Freeze and Boaster, watch A vod on Haven, copy their exact utils and mix them. This will help you optimize your util usage and help you make decisions faster as you've already created protocols on what you'll exactly do when confronted with a situation.
  3. Have a general idea of other agents so you can play against them. Playing against a Sova? be ready to break dart, Phoenix in the opponent? be ready to dodge. Being ready helps you react faster.
  4. VOD review. Please please please, review your vods and with the replay system its much easier. Review your mistakes from your worse games and try not to make them the second time. VOD Reviewing is super underrated. Check out Woohoojin's video on how to self vod review.
  5. To learn maps check out Slayerkey and Valorant Life Podcast.

Tips outside the game:

  1. HYDRATE.
  2. Good posture, don't be a banana.
  3. Please get some good sleep.
  4. Exercise.
  5. Don't play when you're distracted.
  6. Have 2 accounts and lock the highest rank one while playing on the alt until you surpass your other account. This is goated tip btw.
  7. If you are a smoker, smoke a cig before your match. Always helps.
  8. Chew gum if you struggle to keep focus in game.
  9. Coffee may or may not help. For some it gives faster reaction time but for some they might get shaky hands.
  10. Always try to trio queue. Solo is not the way.
  11. HAVE A GENTLE GRIP ON YOUR MOUSE.

Most Important things to remember:

  1. Playing 3 games and winning all 3 is better than playing 10 games and losing 6 of them. So play a few high quality matches, don't force yourself to play 10 games a day.
  2. Never tilt queue, take breaks.

Super sorry for the long post. I don't mean to seem like a sophisticated know it all, I'm sure most of the stuff here you already know. If anything extra comes to my mind I will post in reply. Hope it helps. Take a break for now. You'll be a pro one day TwT
