i never understood why so many people hate on G2

is it an org thing?
is it a player thing?
is it both?
did something happen in the past that i just don’t know about?

and no im not talking about the cringe tejo comps that they play, they’ve been hated on since they joined tier 1

G2 constantly banters with sentinels, as we know one of if not the biggest fanbase org in NA, and sen fans didn't like it. Also when u support underdog team and they get destroyed by G2, wont u happy when g2 also get stomped, like kind of indirect revenge.

when g2 lose to t1 on bangkok, i've seen so many people with "mid" team flair mocking g2, it's not the t1 fan that mocked them i mean why would them? they rather celebrate their fave team wins

yea but people hate g2 specifically since they know how to play it stupidly correct / well. i think in their c9 games (and all other games), they definitely won way more rounds than anyone other tejo player could, which is obv why so much people hate and complain on g2

G2 is the most boring team playing the most boring meta, and they wouldnt be as good as they are right now if Tejo wasnt broken, so i think thats the main reason

And esports is entertainment after all, so people will dislike a team that makes them bored

main reasons i found

g2 org not the greatest- annoying social media, league drama with locking players in contracts
play a "boring style" - was fair to say last year but they are pretty interesting with jawgemo imo
players arent really big personalities or interesting, kind of just standard esports players

biggest reason though is that they are good and people just love hating whoever is good
