Why are they first seed? It doesnt make sense to me.
Football, basketball, i think in nfl it counts too. It works for competitions with "groups" system.
Now that i think about it, in esports is getting forgotten nowadays because games like CS for example had implemented the Buchholz system. That depends on the kind of competition (groups, one big league with all against all, etc)
I think competitions in esports when it's "groups" format, Buchholz is a pretty good system.
For the amount of teams franchising has, i think it's more exciting that they play all against each other, and tie-break by stuff like map diff, round diff.
This Alpha-Omega groups just shortens the excitement of the league by not playing interesting matches in the regular season.
