aim overflicking

context: I have switched from a g203 (85 gram) to an attack shark x3 (49g).

From vod reviewing and just ingame playing I feel like I overflick a lot, is it a me problem or a sens problem? I used to have .6 450dpi and eventually lowered to .5 450dpi and still don't feel like it's enough. I constantly overflick all of my targets and feel like I cannot control my new mouse cuz it's so lightweight. I don't want to hide the problem by just lowering my sens and calling it a day but it's present in all of my games + aimlabs so I'm starting to think that my sens is just too high

I know how to peek angles too, so it's not that I constantly flick because I don't have crosshair placement or smth

also if anyone has any aimlabs routine that might help it would be appreciated

if you only just switched mouse to one that's much lighter it's natural that you'd feel this way. your sens isnt crazy so i dont think you need to go lower you need to give yourself time to adapt. though you could go lower as well either way you need to just practice and give yourself time. one step back two forward kinda thing

also idk your level but while you're adapting to the new mouse maybe try to focus on movement more and adjusting your aim with A + D instead of flicking and insta shooting. not that flicking is bad but practicing the calm re-adjustments and micro mouse movements will probably net you more kills and is a more important skill to adjust your hands to with the new mouse (imo)

my advice would be to treat this as a development/learning phase and just commit to learning good technique while adapting to the new mouse. your k/d might suffer a bit but long term you set yourself up for success. dont be too hard on yourself until you adjust to the new mouse you're basically playing with a handicap it's natural that you'd miss more

For now I think I'm just going to go with a lower sens and try, I feel like it was perfect with my last mouse but with my new one it just aint it.

my mouse grip could be a problem too ig, but I'm doing aimlabs to feel more comfy using it

why did you change mouse if your old one felt perfect?

sounds like you're putting in a lot of effort here so im positive that you will adapt and feel great but if every time you miss you tell yourself "man on my old mouse i'd get that" then you're never gonna feel confident so it's a tricky one for sure

I needed a change ig, the grip on it was nonexistant from constant wear + my new one is wireless (I had the g203 for more that 5 years for sure)

5 years damn bro a grinder. it sounds like you're overthinking tbh with mouse grip and sens and trying to get the best aimlabs routines. i dont mean this in a rude way but the confidence setback from this overthinking is gonna be a barrier for you imo you gotta be more kind to yourself and accept this is a learning phase not a performance phase. you will get back the aim level you had before, maybe better really because it's a new mouse with fresh grip

yeah ig im overthinking it but If I'm doing a change I wanna do it right, also aimlabs has helped me A LOT adjusting to the new mouse so that's why i'm trying to get some playlist recommendation and not whatever first tiktok I see tells me to use

If you switch to a new peripheral, I like to find my sensitivity by doing the psa method on sixshot on aimlabs or hard bots in the range. For each sensitivity in each iteration, play the task 3 times and avg out the score before you pick the sensitivity with the higher score. Works best with sizshot, but warning it will take upwards of an hour in total. Their are links to a psa calculator online.

doing it like this will not give you any reliable result. gotta do it multiple times throughout the week with long pauses and not in a hour rush. i know super boring.
the best way is just to stop overthinking aim but constantly practicing it

This isn’t for aim training, more for find a sensitivity
