I’ve recently divulged into light manga reading after giving it a try. Any recommendations? Ive finished Tokyo Ghoul, halfway through JJK maybe more but what would you recommend as a starter trying to build a little collection. (Nothing crazy long)

idk if ur into slice of life but i recommend both watching and reading Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad!
I’ll watch anime first to see if I like it never been a huge slice of life enjoyer. But I like music so I’ll give it a shot
Don't worry, It's nothing like the classic lovey-dovey friendship stuff slice of life anime, It has a pretty unique plot and really great music! It's personally my favorite anime of all time
around 400 chapter I could manage I can watch smaller shows in between if the manga is engaging enough (ik that’s not “short” but if it’s a good read I’ll indulge)
I am reading sakamoto days and I think its the best ongoing manga right now
Vagabond is highly recommended by friend so this might be the first new start, I’ll look into the others and see if ill throw them on the list thanks
I think there's things the show does better and things the manga does better. The panelling in the manga that fucks with the structure and everything helps sell the Eldritch horror aspects of the manga, but the anime is a lot more cinematic and helps sell the down to earth character moments better, plus the original content they added to the anime was peak + the fights are ofc a lot easier to follow in the anime
I'd probably go with the show but ofc there's very little content of that compared to the manga
this may be one I hold off till the season 2 and then decide if I pick up the anime, thanks for the break down.
Kaoru hana wa rin to saku
It's a really good romance manga and it's also getting an adaption soon
