The team has reportedly arranged but not yet announced a substitute roster to play in their stead. As stated by the team's general manager Lucas "lukzera" Soares in the announcement, the main roster is tentatively expected to be able to make it to either their second or third match depending on the results. FURIA's second match would be on Jan. 19 if the substitute roster wins the first match and Jan. 24 if they lose.

According to sources in communication with the team, FURIA initiated the visa process on Nov. 25, following the same procedures and timeframe as the other Brazilian teams in VCT Americas. However, FURIA's application was unexpectedly met with significant delays by United States travel authorities and only received approval on Jan. 11, which does not leave enough time for the team due to remaining steps in the visa process.

FURIA's head coach Pedro "peu" Lopes commented that this setback has not impacted the team's confidence going into the 2025 season and has rather strengthened the team's desire to play as soon as possible.

FURIA's substitute roster will take the stage on Jan. 17 against 2Game Esports.
