he was a standout player for the team maybe that’s why. itopata is familiar with him (those who know)
enough of a standout to go through the effort of importing him? idk it just seems like a lot of effort for a decent but not generational player
lev are sticking to their play style that they had with aspas and mazino. demon1 and natank fit that well
you could say the same for flyuh in koi and koalanoob in navi.
Maybe the team saw something in him more than others available.
wait for kickoff atleast.
and i would say the same thing about koalanoob. why spend all the effort and possibly waste weeks of practice waiting for visas when there are similar skillsets available right away in your home region? flyuh is a bit different because he is an igl
I was just giving examples of signings that made little sense.
tbh, I think koala was a combo deal with Happy. they couldve gotten a t2 player instead.
Americas has no T2 talent that is half as good as nataNk lmao
Also if you watched him on that 'bad team' last year, you wouldn't be asking this question so go and check his performances.
nataNk is the least of Lev's problems
idk dawg legit every single other lev player has proven themselves once or twice but i agree lev this season has the highest implosion rate in americas maybe in esports history
does the agent pool not overlap a lot with tex tho? from what i can see he played duelist + sentinel which is exactly what tex has played for the last 2 years
I mean his stats look pretty good but nothing that would be worth importing instead of just signing a t2 latam/ NA player
I believe they didn't expect the leave of mazino, even when they announce that RFA, their CEO still believe he will return, so they were focusing on the Aspas replacement
"some random import on a bad team", he was performing great on a bad team. this is like if jawgemo got signed to an emea team and you said "some random import on a bad team" to refer to him
but jawgemo has international appearances + a title. If this was pre 2023 jawg i would say the same thing
Americas is dead in terms of talent production and Natank has t1 exp so it makes sense
zander, Okeanos, MikeE, skuba, sym, seven, v1c are all unproven players with a lot of talent.
reduxx, verno and mada were all picked up by other t1 teams.
nightz and canezera are some great future prospects for NA
They are all too young but Dante, sato, spike and silentzz are upcoming players for South America
also JohnQT, eeiu, OXY, have established themselves in t1this year after being in challengers the year before
if this is all the best talent u can come up with from t2 of americas its so over for the region, not even comparable in quality and quantity to EMEA/Asia and I am not just trying to ragebait
