In a reading slump, suggest me some fast paced books to get out of it.
Thanks.
I normally read fantasy, they're so long. Anything quick, fast paced, not any particular genre would do i think
Poetry is underrated an really quick. Any Lang Leav book will do you good
Angels & Demons but it is pretty long.
Pick any Agatha Christie if you prefer
Kazuo Ishiguro is good for quick reads, I've read 4 of his books and really enjoyed all of them. Some fantasy and science fiction elements, but also very real emotional elements too.
Never Let Me Go
Klara and the Sun
The Buried Giant
A Pale View of Hills
never let me go is a book i read for school but is very compelling, would highly suggest that one as I've read it myself and enjoyed it
don't read a lot of fantasy but in a vaguely similar vein you can check out donald antrim's the hundred brothers
If you like fantasy I’d suggest all the Brandon Sanderson series (mistborn 1, stormlight archive, mistborn 2) etc
I’d probably start with mistborn since storm light archive isn’t finished
I also like Sarah j Maas’s throne of glass series, but her others series have too much smut
Definitely suggest reading the og fantasy novels like Lotr if u haven’t already
Name of the Wind by Patrick rothfuss is pretty good too
Dresden files by Jim Butcher is amazing but the MC is kinda weird and the first few books are shit
Furies of Calderon by Jim butcher is also great
The Eragon series is also pretty good but maybe a bit more childish for ur taste
Name of the Wind is a good pick, don't see that recommended too often. Terrific writing
Sarah Maas is solid (depending which series you pick) but her books lean more towards women imo
The Yellow King by Robert Chambers or Jules Vernes' Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas
