I think it's because Liquid before their playoff run had an OK season at best.
We're just waiting to see if they're peaking, or if it was a fluke run.
I don't think they'll win the event, but wouldn't be surprised to see them crack the top 3. Should be a menace come Champs.
in my case its because they havent played to pretty different playstyles, for example loud style, nrg style, prx style, drx style, etc and they only could beat fnatic after losing twice

They have literally dominated group stage at like every tournament, but end up choking early and getting outplaced by teams from their same group
