Why are they allowing a new way to unlock cosmetics from previous battle passes? Previous battle passes should be exclusive to whoever played at the time.

Ruin Dagger is somewhat rare but if others are able to obtain it even tho they didn’t play back then it wouldn’t matter anymore and it would lose the rare feel it has just becoming a knife most people would use

Nah. I get your point, but not everyone has time or motivation to hit max level in battlepasses and there's so many items you will miss if you don't complete battlepasses. Also who cares how "exclusive" their battlepass skins are, you rarely see them anyway nowdays.
I don't care about BP trash, I have a lot of PAID skins with effects and finisher and cool knives
