Fnatic are slow af to adapt to the meta since forever.

Lost iceland because failed to incorporate astra while other teams did

Took several more months than all other teams to incorporate chamber. They actually got fucked by chamber then realized wait its op nvm lets play him. Boaster saying on stream after chamber was released that he though chamber wasnt good, that he was “rubbish”, 3 weeks later he had to incorporate him because it was being proven how op he is.

They have failed to learn pearl and adapt their map pool.

Now its harbor meta. They dont play it on any map at all despite it being op on several. (Yes icebox included. And if loud just hadnt choked 10 rounds in a row, theyd probably have changed their icebox comp bcs the harbor loud comp is vastly superior)

Bref, fnatic igl and coach are absolute turtles when it comes to adaptation.

Comps from the stone age work. The meta ascent comp, jett raze omen cypher sage split, kj viper icebox, etc. I do agree though lack of utilizing chamber and astra fucked them but they've been solid in the metas that have no op character that the game revolves around.

I dont see whats wrong with playing other agents outside of the meta. Teams have their own ideas what to do with each of their picks. That 5th agent pick on Bind was always contested, so i dont see a big surprise with them experimenting with Cypher.
