HOW TO FIX TL

For people making threads about "fixing TL" or any team for that matter, shut the fuck up. Removing the lowest ACS player or your least favorite player will not make any team magically better. Stop being an armchair analyst acting like you know more than the coaches and analysts that are part of the team.

"B-b-but they don't make impactful plays!"
Why is it immediately the player's fault and not the strats or the coaches or the collective failure to counter-strat an enemy team?

"They lost because they played bad."
No team should have to rely on a single player doing well to carry them across the finish line.

"____ would be a better player than them."
That is all speculation and nothing more. Team chemistry matters just as much as individual talent, and if they don't work well together then it won't show results.

Team Liquid was able to beat some of the best teams in EMEA and held their own against a former LAN winner and finalist, yet all of a sudden they're a bad team because they lost 0-2 to a team with a home turf advantage? Today looked like nothing more than a lack of confidence due to a bunch of factors. Today's performance does not mean they're a bad team. Every person on TL was equally to blame for today's loss, not any individual player.

how is it copium? i don't care about team liquid at all. i just hate all the +player -player threads that are innately braindead takes

I agree that most of the -player +player takes are pretty bad, but with franchising right around the corner it's bound to happen, there are going to be a lot of really good free agents and no matter how much coaching, chemistry plays into it, some players are clear upgrades over others.

there's simply too much talent floating around right now for them not to make changes. The chemistry that they've developed for like 1 month with dimasick isn't that valuable

Lets not let this liquid loss distract us from the fact that FaZe Clan blew a 15-11 lead in the 2018 Boston Major to Cloud9 giving NA its first and only Major in CS:GO history.

L take. Liquid desperately needs IGL. Many times there is no structure at all in their plays.

are you saying they should make no changes to personel and just keep improving with this lineup in franchising? Like I'd respect that take but this just sounds like a whole lot of nonsense

bro theyre not bad because they lost they lost because they're bad. They played so individually that they are the most NA team there. stop stealing our issues. the solo peeks and hero plays are OUR culture.
~Dima peeked yay on bind and then repeeked 2 MORE TIMES. AS BRIM. VS THE HIGHEST RATED CHAMBER IN THE WORLD. VS ECO.

Scream has ingrained the fear, that his team normally brings to other EMEA teams, into his playstyle and it is visibly clear he was not adjusting vs optic.

Soulcas-I don't really know its not really him throwing first that much and I have trouble blaming a domino-effect-decision on 1 person that heavily.

Nivera- fun to watch ill be honest but not visibly seeing much of his growth with how many solo plays are seemingly allowed or encouraged.

Dima plays like a reyna on smokes but i will admit i have no idea what goes on in their camp so clearly not all of it can be as bad as it looks, but that doesnt excuse much of what happened at this tourney.

Jampi- nuts and definitely the most EFFECTIVE flexible player on the team.

FNC is just better, its a derby(regional) game where you have very few outs, and FNC didnt give them any.

On top of everything I've said above theyre still better than anyone here can even know and virtually none of you see any of the actual breakdowns of teamplay. Have fun with it. call them shit. call na shit. do whatever. Don't pretend you know what to criticize though. Everyone here earned their spot to be here and are above wannabes on forums.

I agree with what you're saying. I'm not sure if you're speaking broadly to vlr or specifically to me, but i feel like the sentiment of my message is roughly the same as yours.

broadly. maybe a little diff from your message but mostly the same. liquid definitely dropped the ball as a whole but they arent exactly a gem normally. thats probably the only addition i made. the rest is agreeable.

Drop the whole roster and go NA franchising so I can cheer for Liquid again then there'd be no TSM as well win-win

get an IGL, they already showed they have the talent to compete when they have fuckin Scream IGLing, if they can get an actual IGL on board they can be a world beater

True, they already made playoffs while having ScreaM as IGL. So basically a nerfed ScreaM. Imagine if they get an actual dedicated IGL. ScreaM would be free to focus on fragging only.

plus Scream isn't exactly known to be the biggest brain player of all time, if they can get maybe Redgar or maybe an IGL from a team that didn't make franchising, they are one of my favorites for EMEA league

Ngl, ScreaM has improved a lot in the game sense department. He was basically known as a brain dead player with the best raw aim ever in CS. He has made a lot of very smart plays and his mid round calls have actually been good in the lower bracker of the LCQ. Not so much in Champions tho. He just needs to be able to fully focus on fragging. That would not only help him but also the team as they need a consistent fragger along side Jamppi.

This has the be the worst take, Liquid have had issues from the first LAN and have neglected them ever since. So they should disband they have their best player on igl because no one else can igl, they are in shambles looking clueless on most attack rounds.

individuals may not be to blame but liquid need an igl and that's undeniable, and this logic only goes so far, there are times where teams genuinely need changes to improve, old guild or pre-yay envy for example, yet this logic would lead you to believe that you shouldnt change stuff because "individual aren't to blame". Nobody thinks dimasick/nivera/soulcas or whoever they're suggesting to get dropped is bad, but having no true IGL for over a year only gets you so far when there's so much potential to be unlocked
