Riot have announced that Valorant Champions will play out in the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. Additionally, a live crowd will be present for the playoffs, similarly to Stage 2 Masters: Copenhagen.
Live audiences at international events have been a highly-anticipated aspect of Valorant esports due to the game's release in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This time around, unlike Stage 2 Masters: Copenhagen, crowds will be present for the entire playoffs stage, as opposed to the final three days of the event.
The official capacity of the Volkswagen Arena is lower than that of Forum Copenhagen's, with the range estimated to be between 4,500 and 5,800 spectators depending on seating configurations.
At the time of writing, tickets are not available for purchase.
Group stage play is set to kick off on Wed, Aug 31 and run through Thurs, Sept 8. The playoffs will commence the day after, on Sept 9.
