In the same announcement, they also officially bid farewell to Patryk "starxo" Kopczynski, who has been an unrestricted free agent since early September.

BARBARR originally joined KOI at the beginning of the partnership era in 2023. Prior to KOI, he served as the head coach for Guild Esports Guild Esports Inactive , who most notably finished in top-eight at Masters Copenhagen.

KOI spent the 2023 EMEA League season towards the bottom of the standings, ending in ninth place with a 2-7 record. Despite changing three players, the 2024 season yielded similar results; KOI went 3-7 in the regular season and finished last in the region. Since then, they have parted with starxo, Tobias "ShadoW" Flodström, and Kamil "kamo" Frąckowiak in yet another roster rebuild.
