Goddamn do I hope we get to see Gambit back at LAN, a rematch between OpTic and Gambit would be so much fucking fun to watch, especially with OpTic being so amazing right now. While scrims aren't hugely important, I'm glad that it shows that Gambit can still compete in this new meta, and their performance last playoffs doesn’t hold true.

Yea, so? Riots schedule forced them to play 3 days in a row, with no prep time at all. One upset doesn't matter, XSET and BBG beat sen when they were top NA and it didn't matter.

Well maybe they just aren't good in scrims? That doesn't necessarily mean they won't be good though, I remember during sentinels "dominance" over NA they were constantly getting shit on by teams like LG and FaZe in scrims.

Optic has played over 400 rounds of valorant... there was no "time" to do anything except playing games. Loud had all the time in the world to prep vs Optic and yet they lost. That just proves how good Optic is with their playbook and how deep it is. If M3C's excuse is because they had less than a day of rest before their match, then you need to check other traditional sports and other esports that has the same duration and were still winning games.

M3C I repeat has no excuse for losing their game vs Fnatic or G2.

Dude i dont think you understand, G2 had a week to prepare, loud had a little over 24 hours. On top of that both loud and optic were playing constant matches whereas G2 wasn't playing for a week and studying m3c

G2 and gambit literally scrims each other in EMEA constantly... this is like saying V1 is better than loud because they gave Optic harder time. Well no shit when V1 knows how Optic plays because they played scrims more often.

and also G2 didn't have 1 week of prep... It was literally couple days. Even putting G2 aside, M3C lost to fnatic before they went to lowers. There's no excuse for that either. best of the best will show how good they are if they have the deepest strat book. Which M3C did not show that.

you clearly have no idea of how competitive tactical fps work on a high level, gambit played 6 matches straight and played a super tiring series against g2 and fucking g2 prepared so they fluked them, they wouldnt have been able to go either way but if they had a normal schedule because the war didnt happen they would have easiy qualified

a super tiring vs fnatic is literally the same Optic going in a BO5 vs Zeta and then the next day with little to no prep had to go against LOUD. LITERALLY no excuse for that. You either play to win or you don't.

"If they had a normal schedule" they had a normal schedule before playing vs fnatic and guess what happened? they lost to them. They were literally in lower brackets, and you expect M3C to have 2 days off? That's the whole point of lower brackets.

bro, that was 3 easy maps vs zeta, you cant compare it to playing 5 matches in 7 days and one of them being a super exausting match against fnatic where the decider breaks the record for most rounds played in vct europe and being 0.02 away from qualiying, do you even know how mentally defeated you will be after that? 0.02 seconds bro, that is literally absurd, I would be fucking mentally deafeated after playing 5 matches in a row and being 0.02 seconds away from qualifying in the sixth match lol

If a team gets mentally defeated after a loss like that while you're still not out and have lower bracket run to go. That shows they didn't deserve to qualify. Mental resilience is a thing in sports and M3C being defeated mentally while they're still in the tournament shows that they didn't clearly qualify.

Yeah, I just finished watching the interview and the way Chet talked about M3C makes them out to be the no contest #1 team in the world. He said that Optic was lucky to get 7 rounds in a 24 round scrim and that they took a lot of strats from Gambit (Sentinels did 2).

Sad that a team that is the best strategically and one of the best mechanically doesn't get to play, hope to see them at masters 2.

gambit has always been known to be insane at scrims. But scrims doesn't state how good u are in matches, despite that they still lost to fnatic and G2. Until M3C makes it to masters 2, that is unknown until they played.

VCT South Asia (seeding for VCT APAC) should be LAN too after this event afaik there's no issues with facilities but the problem was other things like Covid and then Pakistanis not getting visas so easily so LANs are def happening but Masters level events like you said might not happen for next 3-5yrs since the scene is still kinda small compared to other regions
also flight times will always be different lol
