Why do so many people underate KRU

Not sure why so many people underate KRU, they did incredibly well at champions, they beat Sentinels before they were complete dogshit (on the downtrend but still a good team at that point). They beat Fnatic, who are complete Lanimals and were looking really good having beat cloud9 and vs. And then they took gambit to the limit, a 2-1 with the last map being an 18-16. They have a ton of lan experience having been to all 3 lans so they will be really comfortable. I could totally see KRU going far this tournament.

Not a lot of people underrate them, but if we're judging them based on the last few results, they haven't been as dominant as they used to be, with a loss against Xolos and a close 3x2 win over LEV. Most people saw this as LATAM stepping up but that narrative came crashing down after NIP 3x0 LEV. Even then, their past results have been very mixed, before champions they weren't rated at all. Their Champs run has been impressive for sure, but most of that is because people saw them as underdogs. All of their matches were extremely tight, and could've easily lost against both SEN and FNC if were being honest. I still think they're a top team, and could see them going far into masters, even winning it all if they catch a hot streak, but I could just as easily see them losing on groups with Liquid and OpTic fighting the two spots aswell.

Kru is overrated in reality..they are shit , their jett is worst in masters , what happened in champions was fluke.. beating sentinels is not any achievement at all ... fnatic was weakest emea team and they beat them by fluke..

Ik it isn't the best comparison but maybe because kru vs Lev 3-2, loud 3-0 nip and then nip 3-0 Lev
Since people think br is still a shit region they're underestimating kru also

you can't compare the LEV who faced KRU in the first 3 maps in the BO5 with the LEV who faced NIP, it's like compare the G2 that faced M3C with the one who faced TL in the upper round 1.
LEV against KRU proposed different things, they played aggressively, they tried to dominate map spaces, they did not let KRU play comfortably, on the other hand, against NIP that did not happen, they played with fear, they did not take any kind of initiative, they let NIP play their game, and we all know that if you let a Brazilian team play without any kind of pressure they will beat you with just firepower.
I invite you to analyze all the games and not just look at the final score.

Everyone saying "Fluke at champions" is just braindead, there is no such thing as a fluke run, maybe a fluke match, but what they achieved in Champions was impressive and no one can take that away from them.

Now, all that "Kru lost 2 maps against Lev, and Nip destroyed Lev" is probably the worst of all for 2 reasons:

1.Lev literally has Kru's old coach, the one that forged them into KRU and knows them upside down.
2.In Berlin 100T beat GMB, Envy beat 100T then GMB beat Envy, the transitive law doesn't apply here, it all depends in the play style of the team, counter agents and strat, and whoever has a good or bad day.

About e-xolos, the rare plays and results seemed to be due to logistical problems (the stage was a fkin tupperware and the sound was so terrible that they were playing with almost no comms).
And about leviatan... it's hard. They did an amazing run in the season, played awesome the whole playoffs, even vs KRU, but when they faced NIP they played like a new tier 3 roster, no trades, no micros, nothing. I think that's because they get too nervous on important stages, and they can't handle the pressure of LAN's grand finals. But trust me, Leviatan is too much better than it looked like in NIP match.

I think the is the most accurate comment, KRU's run at champs was good and they deserve to be recognized a top team for it, but then again we have seen upset after upset in valorant and it's hard to predict if they can win, or can make playoffs or will lose at Groups, for that we should not underestimate any of the teams.

It may be, people think that actually Leviatan is as shit as it looked in that match, but it's actually not
btw people should stop comparing team levels like "oh this team beated this one which beated the other one"

I mostly agree. The LEV that played against KRU was definitely better than the one that played against NIP, but I think it's not realistic to believe they just did a complete 180 in terms of playstyle and fundamentals in the span of 4 days. That's just taking a lot of credit away from NIP. You could say that Leviatan allowed NIP to play aggressively to the point to not be able to put up a fight in 2/3 maps, or you could say that NIP adapted well after the first few rounds and just outplayed them. I think the situation is more nuanced that what I made it out to be at first but I think it's not as harsh

in fact it is a bit of both, in the Icebox they knew how to adapt, in the second map LEV let NIP play aggressively and in the third map LEV woke up too late.

LOUD is going to make KRU look silly. Than the Guard is going to mop them up. This is IF they aren't grouped.
