i still think that’s a bad idea- limiting a region’s slots due to performance is just not a good idea in general

Giving space to more EMEA teams which are good but not the best (not top-3) gives other weaker regions better chance to beat these top-4/5 EMEA teams and creates better international games
For example, Xerxia is definitely not strong enough to overcome GMB/FNC/FPX, but they might have a good shot at winning G2/TL/GLD

Ya that's what they should do. Teams like Zeta do deserve to be there. But the EMEA teams don't deserve to go home for being in the strongest region

This, 20-24 teams would be a great idea, 16 qualified teams and 8 in a play-in, kinda like CSGO did in Katowice, it allows the teams not qualified to fight against the other regions to see who takes the slot instead of just giving it.

Obviously you're biased but just for the sake of the argument, why would it make sense to give EMEA 5 slots? It would literally just be boring for other regions who would now be relegated to 1 slot each like Korea and Japan, it would make things much more boring for everyone but EMEA.

Yes, stacked with mediocre teams. TL looks ass, G2 mediocre, Guild mediocre, FPX inconsistent. The only two good reliable teams are Fnatic and Gambit, maybe FPX aswell if ardiis decide to popoff that day.
