DFM's roster overhaul began less than two weeks after it allowed members Kazuya "yatsuka" Ikeda and Amon "Caedye" Mateus Okakura to explore opportunities as restricted free agents. Now, fellow players Meiy and Akame as well as coaches Vorz , NorthernLights , and Melofovia have all been released by the organization ahead of the next season.

A commendable but nevertheless disappointing season saw DFM end the partnership era without ever qualifying for an international event. The Japanese organization found itself two wins away from booking tickets to Masters Santiago earlier this year – the farthest it had ever progressed within the Pacific League – but was unable to surpass its efforts at 2026's Kickoff.

After finishing among the top eight at Stage 1 and failing to advance past the Pacific Play-Ins, DFM's season – and time within the Pacific League – came to an abrupt close. Despite applying alongside many organizations for one of eight coveted Pacific partnership slots, DFM was ultimately denied a spot.

The organization stated that it would continue its activities within the VCT, albeit from outside a partnership position.

Currently without a full roster, DFM received a direct invite to the playoffs of the Pacific Kickoff Japan Qualifier alongside QT DIG∞ QT DIG∞ Japan Rank #5 Kippei Kippei Suzuki Misaya yuran Yushin Hato , putting it in a comfortable position to qualify for 2027's first stage of regional play in Bangkok.
