If there's a two way tie, it's dependent on head to head. If Acend and G2 both lose their games, it's a tie, and the tiebreaker is the 2-1 series that Acend beat G2 on.
If there's a three way tie, where Guild loses to both G2 and Fnatic, aswell as Acend beating BBL - it's a round difference tiebreaker between the three teams, two best qualify.

edit; incorrect information, post #31 for info/sort of apology or whatever, common mintvalo L

round difference is the tiebreaker even if it’s a 2 way tie

it makes sense to display teams based on their round difference after their game record.

it is H2H for 2-way tiebreakers - check the rules.

Bullshit, fake info

Round difference is not a tiebreaker for 3 way tie, map difference is

If Fnatic>Guild and Acend>BBL, Guild out because they have the least maps won/lost ratio against G2 and Acend (3-2 teams)

source?

It was always by map difference in all tournaments in all esports

VLR admins are showing round diff for some fucking reason, hence making you believe that it's the tiebreaker

OP also has no source for his theory either

Qualify teams

ACE lose:
FNC, GUILD, G2

ACE win and FNC lose: 2 tiebreaker (ACE, G2)
Head-to-head match score: ACE won against G2
FNC, GUILD, ACE

ACE win and FNC win: 3 tiebreaker (GUILD, ACE, G2)
Head-to-head match score: all teams 1 win 1 loss
Head-to-head map differential Guild -1, ACE ±0, G2 +1
FNC, G2, ACE

Am I correct?

So Acend is in playoffs today if they win against BBL no matter what happens in FNC vs GUILD

Guild - Acend 37-26
G2 - Acend 27-33
G2 - Guild 26-16

G2 53-49 +4
Guild 53-52 +1
Acend 59-64 -5

this is round diffrence in this trio but i guess map diffrence is more important

You're wrong. You have to consider the map differential first in the three-way tie. Guild will be out of playoffs assuming they lose against FNC and Acend wins against BBL.

G2 = +1 map diff (G2 2 - 0 Guild, G2 1 - 2 Acend)
Acend = 0 map diff (Acend 1 - 2 Guild, Acend 2 - 1 G2)
Guild = -1 map diff (Guild 0 - 2 G2, Guild 2 - 1 Acend)

Source: VCT EMEA Rulebook - 2022
In the event that two or more Teams are tied in the standings at the conclusion of the Regular Season, the tie will be broken by the following criteria:

  • Head-to-head match score
  • Head-to-head map differential
  • Head-to-head round differential
  • Overall map differential
  • Overall round differential
