Even if we ignore the tech issues and horrible decision making by Riot, the matches have been straight dogshit and the home crowds entire region is not making playoffs, so the crowd will be mediocre at best

If the grand-finals isn't Bangkok level, this might be the worst international event in VCT history, not just champs

The tech issues are unacceptable, and teams being forced to play group stage games with wired mice is insanity, just a horrible look for Riot and lowers the quality of the tourney by a lot (China getting 4 slots also does that)

Group stage has been a bad experience I agree. I don’t think we should write off the entire tournament as we are yet to get into playoffs, better part of any competition.

Explain to me how these games weren't really good, all of them 3 close maps except VIT LOUD which had the best map of the event

The 2 best series have been the VIT ones. Both were good series, but one was a 2-0, the other one had no overtimes, and neither had any huge comeback wins. Also both series were group stage games with no elimination

Again they were good, but lets not throw around "giga banger" left and right

Ok so through all of this, why are we expecting every single game to go overtime with huge comeback wins? they were all very good, very close series that had very enjoyable valorant

only china matches were bad & by tomorrow they'll all be gone anyway. this only leaves them with tech issues which in itself is not good but the matches are still played and the majority of them are still very good

aside from china & tech issues it has been very good. reminder that by this point in santiago and london we haven't had any actual good games

The tech issues are legit a tournament-ruining problem. If a map ends 13-10 or 13-11, it means it was decided by a small handful of kills. If the players had no stutters and didn't have to play on WIRED MICE, its very likely that some of those kills go in the other direction, completely changing a map, which changes an entire series
