This is so cope. If Cryo was on sage, he would frag out. Sage is a shooter agent whether you want to admit it or not, there aren’t many other agents in the game that are gun out more than sage.

Asuna was not shooting anyone or using his utility well but let’s just say for the sake of the argument that his utility was good. That did not make 100t look good. It was only till he started shooting people on phx did 100t start to look like a top team. This utility nonsense is overrated, it’s a gun game. A gun is always more valuable than utility

i mean i wont deny that it has harmed them in the past

his best role is secondary duelist, so he plays that the most with phoenix
he also shines on yoru, maybe nbs has comps on maps where hes on yoru, but we wont know till they play more

Being a support is bullshit, the best players kill and support well. The bad players overly focus on their supportive utility and don’t shoot well. There’s a reason players like C0M aren’t better than players like Verno
Sure bro you can keep arguing all you want about how Asuna is not a good flex and whatnot. Truth be told you aren't going to get nowhere with your argument because the fact of the matter is that Asuna and 100T have won both EWC and Stage 2. If they win Champs you will still keep yapping about how Asuna doesn't deserve it and how lucky he got with his team and the Pheonix meta but at the end of the day he is a winner and all you do is talk shit about him. Results are all that matters.
COM in my opinion isn't that great of a player but he won Champs so regardless of what anyone says that's just how it is. The truth is he might be an insane player in that system or he fit well in that meta back in 2023 EG but at the end of the day none of this deserving shit matters because he won Champs and that's that.

Alright then I apologize for my misunderstanding. I think it's his mindset because when he is placed on a role that is mainly used for util he has this idea of completely fulfilling his role in a more supportive way, These roles include:
- Entry Duelist (above fragging if they can't make space on site then they don't do their jobs)
- Controller (as long as they are smoking and giving support for their teams they don't really have to worry about fragging)
- Initiators (master your agent and get some lineups and you should be fine even if you don't frag out as much)
- Flash Initiators (same thing as initiators, as long as you support the rest of your teammates)
- Certain Sentinels (Sage, Deadlock aka the ones who can give a lot of support without anchoring onto a site)
These roles are basically the roles that in my opinion you can emphasize on this supportive mindset which leads to potentially Asuna not fragging as much but when you put him on roles where he has no choice but to frag where his util doesn't matter if he doesn't frag that's when you bring out that selfishness out of Asuna. He knows he has to frag.
- Secondary Duelists
- Anchor Sentinels (Vyse, Cypher, KJ)
- Chamber (One of the few exceptions on Senti cuz its not an anchor Senti)
My theory is that if you put him on agents such as Pheonix, Yoru, Vyse. No matter what he does with his util he has no choice but to frag out meaning he can't just play supportive anymore since he is the one taking contact.
Maybe you are right and he might not be the best flex player since he does not put high numbers. But whatever agent he does play he does bring out a lot of impact out of it. Back in Kickoffs when he was playing Sage though he was not fragging a lot his util usage was really insane. That is just one example but that is all that I have to say to you.
