feel like H2H is such a terrible way to decide a tie breaker especially as a first tie breaker. TH have better stats than LIQUID on basically every STAT and has almost a +30 round differential and TL only has like 15 round diff (too lazy to recheck). I feel like map win loss and round diff should 100% be the main tie breakers cause having H2H just makes every single stat useless

Im not just saying this because TH are out but goddamn man it’s so depressing and annoying because some wins or losses just won’t matter anymore. TH should’ve been top 2

okay i rechecked it and TH were only up by 3 rounds (LMFAO). Point still stands though

Yeah I know but still im talking about this in general. for example, stage 1 is a perfect example of one. G2 vs c9, it wouldve felt SO wrong if c9 made playoffs and g2 didnt if c9 beat g2 (because of h2h). Had it been any other tiebreaker, g2 wouldve qualled regardless if they won or not (which is good because g2 clearly doninated in every stat)

also stop mentioning names and flairs THIS AINT BAIT

I really don't understand how people think it's fairer for a team to pass because they won more rounds overall

"Congratulations you lost to us but you get to go on because Shit Can eSports had 3 of their best players die mid tourney and replaced them with bronze players from the crowd allowing you to farm +26 rounds on them"

if TH have better stats overall then yeah they should definitely get the tiebreaker over liquid because they showed that even after having bad early games against one team they still managed to overall do better against the same teams that Liquid played against.

And that logic works perfectly. I mentioned this example above but if G2 lost to C9 in stage 1, it wouldve been terrible seeing c9 make playoffs over them just because of h2h tiebreak. Yes it shows they are better than one team, but overall statistically, g2 deserved it more regardless of outcome.

Heretics literally got railed by KC while TL almost won
Not to mention TL had to play with a sub against EF while TH played against EF with a brand new player with little pracc
The only reason the round diff is even remotely close is because of that 13-0 against EF

I would hardly say Heretics proved they were "more worthy" of playoffs than Liquid
