Fraudulent careers

Not to say these players are trash, but their careers are overrated

TenZ: has 2 trophies, but one of them was in 2021 when everyone sucked ass, and the other one is from an 8 team masters and he wasn't even the best player on his team. That doesnt sound like a top 5 player oat to me.

Chron: I love Chron but he won all 3 of his trophies by being part of crazy super teams. Gambit was easily best itw when he won, and Fnatic is the most stacked superteam ever. He's never had any kind of underdog or unexpected win

Aspas: 1 champs trophy in 2022 and he was arguably not the best player on that team. Other than putting up flashy kill records here and there, he hasn't actually done much

Edit:
Title was kinda click bait, I just mean overrated, these are still great players

For the time yes, Gambit was definitely considered the best in the world before they won. Chron has always been part of stacked teams

surely not hard to grasp that he’s part of what makes it a super team..?

he was a top 2 player on that gambit team, even in 2022 when they were heavily struggling in 2022 he held his own very well

consistent on every iteration of FNC, holding his own on vitality now

Yeah of course, but that logic doesnt cancel out the superteam. Kevin Durant still got 2 easy rings by being on that Warriors team. Yes he's part of why its a superteam, yet its still a shameless superteam

Gambit wouldn’t have nearly been as successful in 2021 without Chronicle

Going by your logic every player has had a fraudulent career

Cause every winner has been a part of super crazy team for that time just like chron

NRG - 3 rookies and a coach who's never been in tier 1, and no one on that NRG team has ever been considered a top 5 player in the world
Nongshim - 4 rookies and RB. Only Dambi has ever been considered a top 3 player in the world
EDG - insane underdog win, not a soul was putting any EDG player top 5 before they won

Fnatic 2023 - easily considered best in the world before they won, multiple players in top 5 convos
Gambit 2021-2022 - considered best in the world before they won, nAts considered best in the world at the time

NRG, ethan was totally a top IGL prior. the dude already had a champs trophy and was a great flex

ethan was totally a top IGL prior

when was that ever the case? all i’ve seen is how many people doubting ethan as an IGL because of what happened on NRG 2024

you must’ve meant a top flex player prior, which in that case… sure

i more mean he was definitely a good igl in 2025, at least in americas, even before champs
but 2024 was ass, not entirely his fault though when FNS was begging to paycheck steal another split

WHAT??? Ethan IGL'd the worst failed superteam ever 2024 NRG, they were horrible. And Ethan was not IGL when he won champs with EG, Boostio was

NRG - 3 rookies

all 3 of the "rookies" were already in tier 1 before franchising, mada was literally playing with yay on andbox before he joined envy

his top 5 case comes from his impact alongside his achievements

Someone has to win the first trophy and TenZ can only play against who’s in front of him. Chron being in Fnatic and Gambit was part of why they’re viewed as such. Aspas still has success every year consistently making playoffs of champs since 2022 (this year may or may not be the end of the streak).

In all their cases there’s a ton of people that criticize them all; I don’t think there’s people putting TenZ up as top 5 purely as a player by skill since there’s guide comfort. Chron is seen as not impactful and not an outright GOAT (think people keep mentioning Ethan more) and Aspas keeps being called baitpas

Tenz was the best in his time in 2021, in 2024 he had his impactful kills.

I don't think Chronicle is the GOAT in terms of overall skill, but he's a giant for everything he's achieved, and if he's been part of super teams, it's because he deserves it.

Aspas: highest number of kills in a best-of-three series, VCT Americas with Leviathan and Loud, always above in ratings and on all possible Champions.

I could argue more, but I think that's enough.

If you are going to include tenz and chron on this list you cannot ignore the elephant in the room which is nats who is guilty of both of the reasons u included for the respective players

nats only win was in 2021 and on the same superteam you ridculed chron for.

Atleast the other two players have proven later in their careers that they are capable of winning lans later in their careers and on different teams nonetheless.

Nats hasn't lurked out of a group stage in years with the exception of tokyo where he went 0-2
