Continuing from my thread from the other day after more information has come out about C9.

Yeah, he's gotta go. I can't help but hate-watch now at this point. C9 has got to find a better option.

I'm no coach and don't claim to be. But you can run Neon, Phoenix, Omen, Sova, and Cypher on any map and see some fair results. Not any of this 13-1 bullshit.

If you're listing on your website your results: 4 First Places, 6 Second Places, and 7 Third & Fourth Places, and think those are results you should be boasting about, meanwhile your League team results show: 39 First Places, 19 Second Places, and 17 Third & Fourth Places.

THEY HAVE THE MONEY TO INVEST IN A NEW COACH. There is no way that this can be acceptable from the C9 management? The data is there, and they don't care.

I genuinely do not see Cloud9 in the Valorant scene in 2027.

I didn’t watch any of today’s games because they did not seem interesting in the slightest and aren’t “important” matches. I hate Group Stages, but, that’s a different discussion. Seeing Immi’s tweet saying “if we can start closing out the rounds where we have an advantage and post plants we will be in a much better spot” it seems like he is shifting the blame towards the players instead of himself. There has been 28 roster changes since Immi has become Head Coach of Cloud9. This is an insane statistic and it’s quite embarrassing as a Head Coach. It is Immi’s job to prepare these players to the best of their ability and he is just not doing his job. I’m concerned for C9’s Valorant future (https://www.vlr.gg/723633/c9-s-future-discussion)

It's hard to remember but C9 used to not just be a laughingstock. FNS and prime optic used to go into post match interviews talking about the chess match between him and vanity

this bald fuck has singlehandedly ruined my chances of seeing my favorite team be good, and sucked the enjoyment out of the game so hard that my favorite player quit the team.

I don't think firing immi is enough, the manager is grossly incompetent at a shocking level.

Yay is one of the few "poor" roster moves I'll defend. He clearly isn't the same player post-chamber and has been entirely unsuccesful to the point of getting benched on Evil Geniuses and not landing anywhere else

dropping mCE was a disasterclass though. especially when replacing him with a failed ascension coach.

They dropped Yay after a couple of games right in the middle of the stage. That forced him have a huge gap in his career. A lot of players need to be in rhythm to perform better. Even slightest of decisions can change your situation drastically. I have been victim of such thing in my career as well.

Dropping Yay has to be one of the biggest fumbles over VCT. Of course, players are gonna be a little cold from not competing, especially immediately going to an international.

Although I think Yay is a top-5 player who would be thriving in this meta. I also think he is one of the most mishandled players ever.

I do think the goal was to give Oxy a coach he was familiar with since Immi was his coach on G2 and wippie was his smoker. But I don't get why you don't just grab more of that core if you want oxy comfortable.

I've loved C9 as an org since I was a kid and have supported them quite a bit, but watching how their Valorant scene is handled is making me not want to support them anymore.

Zellsis uses a very autocratic leadership style, and I don't think that's what C9 needs. It's a very mixed team of players that really have no chemistry outside of Vic and Oxy. I would still consider 4/5 of the players on C9 very green. They've never touched an international stage and have only stuck with one organization through their VCT career. Having a more transformational leadership style allows more growth and builds trust within the IGL and Team.

All you need to win if a band of 5 decent mother fuckers who trust their IGL. How do you think NRG did it.
