Being transphobic is horrible, but its redeemable and not worth cutting someone off especially if they are close.

what makes someone unredeemable is what they do, not what they say or think
people can learn to understand, but some actions can never be taken back

Twitter and Reddit users are mentally ill and not worth saving. Any normal person ever knows that a persons value is more than a social or political opinion. Only the most demented, chronically online people would ever cutoff a longterm friend or family member over something like calling trans people bumblebee or voting for a politician. It literally isn't that deep. I've had friendships with people who have insane social beliefs, people who heavily disagree with my takes on foreign conflict, etc and I've never thought of cutting them off. Just be normal.
