I have been watching Valorant since beta and I can’t remember a time when so many teams just play the exact same comp on every map.
I keep looking at these scores and see teams winning with everyone only playing 1 agent on all the maps.
100t win a bo3 and everyone played the same agent in all three maps but one person.
It wasn’t uncommon for specialists, but I don’t remember nearly entire teams playing the same comp on every map.
theres always been comps that have been dominant over multiple maps, the map pool happened to be like that(also 100t in paticular are very in on timo neon asuna phnx and cryo cypher)
Maybe you’re right.
But I have always played a game of looking at the agents before I look at the maps and seeing if I can guess the maps that were played.
Now I just see one set of agents and I don’t remember it being like that all the time.

You could be a tournament winning team and all you need to learn how to play is 1 comp on every map.
My friend who's into fighting games mentioned how cool it is that some pros are ride-or-die with their one favorite character and just push their mastery of them to the limit.
I wouldn't mind seeing some of that in val, but the problem like you said is that it's the same 5 or so agents that are being picked always
Like what if some new rookie or ascending team just figured out how to make breach work on every map and other teams tried to copy them but couldn't

Because that's what Blanka in street fighter 6 and Yoshi in melee were like. They were clowned on as dogshit in the community until one guy started destroying, but then they didn't even become meta because hardly anyone else could pull it off
I guess Gekko would be a closer comparison bc he's never been meta but that's even more absurd
That being said yeah Dambi and Eggster did it so well they got their mains nerfed which is just unfortunate
That's what the emea sentinels do they're all cypher otps for the most part 💀
