Yeah I am a cs fan (100T flair was just me testing out my curse luck this year, surprisingly 100T broke my curse at EWC), but I have a question about G2. No matter what you think of them, that they are chokers, or that they are regional farmers, they are a great team. Deffo a team who can contend for trophies. But, isn't babybay just not tier 1 material what so ever? he was a caster, he is 31, why the hell does g2 have him? NA is stacked with talent, SURELY you can find someone better???? I just do not understand their management, why settle for a 31 year old way past his prime when you are literally in a region which has a lot of young talent every fucking year??? Isn't that just cucking yourself out of trophy contention?

Vibes bro, you need vibes to win a trophy apparently which is why Tex zellsis and Babybay are employed

how can vibes be the issue when trent-leaf-valyn are teammates since like 2023 and are definitely friends outside of the game?

G2 (formerly The Guard) has a long term history of sabotaging themselves, so you're asking yourself what a lot of fans have been asking through the year and former years.

despite the team having one of their best years in recent times (2nd FS, 1st LEC, 4th MSI)

pfff, try kicking the best anchor in the world (jks) in 2023 after a 3-4th place at Melbourne cuz he wanted to spend a few extra days in Australia (where he is from btw) and signing a guy who had an average rating of 0.85 (nexa) for VIBES.

it's genuinely impressive how they fumbled both m0nesy and niko in a span of 4 months, that takes a work of an extraterrestrial moron

Hey, if you're gonna be the best at something, you better be consistent at it in all disciplines and that is G2 at being retarded.

I am russian speaking and in all games we call it radar afaik. Or maybe I am the moron even in russian, but I am pretty sure it's more common in russian to say radar

Wait fr? that's hell cool. Do they not have a word for minimap in russian or sum like that? I'm genuinely curious

it's just mini-karta in russian, so radar is shorter. And pretty sure it came from like 1.6 days cuz it looked like a radar and so the community just went along with it. MOBA community calls it just ''karta'' (map), but CS players use radar more.

ahh ok, wait that's so cool. Is like a piece of russian cs culture. I love when game slang evolves differently across countries due to language reason.

yeah, it's also kinda fun to play with people from 1.6, just a funny yap story. I was playing faceit and matched with this 30 year old unc, and we were playing dust 2. There is a car on A site, and it's mostly just ''maschina'' (car) in russian, but then he said ''reklama'' (advertisment) And I didn't clear it and everyone was confused cuz that call is not used what so ever. He than explained that in 1.6/source there was a huge billboard behind the car, and usually there you would see a banner of a server you were playing on, so they called it ''ad'' and not ''car''. So, yeah, callouts, gamer slang, it's always interesting to find out

Gaming culture is has evolved to a point where u can distinguish players into different generations based on how the communicate lol, that's so fun. Honestly who knows, in 10 or 20 years the new generations could also change the name, maybe it becomes a color or sum, and thus create a generational breach between players. Basically simulating irl language in a more micro scale lol

And now he uses an Operator as a 4700 decoy....

The idea for the change was like Karrigan on Falcons, which finally allowed Niko (imagine niko as the whole G2 team) to win a major.

Now imagine Karrigan stat padded and baited his team every game and the rest of Falcons became bots, but the vibes were "better"

That is G2 rn

that makes sense for an IGL role, but he plays duelist? Like, it doesn't take a genius to see that he sucks ass mechanically (no wonder, he is 31), but then you put him on a mechanics-dependent role???

yea, only thing salvageable is his aim but other than that, nothing else. It genuinely is annoying af seeing G2 play with babybay on Neon, when the most mechanically gifted duelist (and a much better fit for neon) is RIGHT THERE, like cmon.
