Coach just called Park the Bus. Biggest mistake especially against fucking Argentina and Messi. Like havent they watched the Cabo Verde match. England fucking lost to themselves actually fucking sad. I genuinely had hope as well
They wanted to protect the score by only defending which in theory doesn’t allow Argentina to go on counter attacks
coach playing not to lose so he sent out all his defensive players at 1:0 up

To explain in valorant terms it's like they play time but under the pressure of the moment they kind of made the mistake of doing that too early giving up a lot of space to the retakers
they played so fucking conservative after 1-0 they just let argentina keep attacking,like they didn't play for win
exactly it was too fucking early for that man. 25 mins on the clock and you decide to do that. Too much momentum passed over. The ball never left the england half for about fucking 10 minutes straight and they were getting smothered under their own net. Actually fucking disasterclass coaching by tuchel after such a fucking magnificent run.
Not sure, but for considering the caliber of the team it was likely their plan. Score a leading goal and then just play hard defense. Very classic stuff you see from underdog teams as they think they can't score more and its too risky so they stick to defending. Not sure why team like England would do it though when they aren't some random underdog team. It was too one sided for it to just be a player diff IMO.
Due a mistake from the coach, that's it, it's stupid trying to play parking the bus when you are only 1-0 and there are 35 minutes remaining + extra time.
