Many VCT fans are likely wondering why Nongshim failed to make it to London.

It took a long time to reorganize the team throughout Stage 1.

After the Santiago Masters, Yoru disappeared from the meta, and Francis—who did not originally play the Duelist role—struggled with his agent pool as the team experimented with various comp

He was originally an IGL and Initiator, but after switching roles during the Yoru meta, it took a long time for him to return to that position.

It wasn't until the EWC qualifiers that I was able to fully return to that role.

Given that Xross was originally highly promising a Duelist in Tier 2 and Francis was a highly promising Main Initiator/IGL in the Korean Valorant scene, finally it seems like a perfect fit.

Also It seems like Xross has fully blossomed into a "flex" role.

xross was always a flex, NS just didn’t adjust their roles in time
Seemed like Dambi and Francis had synergy as a duelist pairing and I guess they didn’t want to switch it up mid split

Well...
I actually think it's a good thing.
Given Francis's flick reaction speed and aim, I believe any coach would want to field him as a duelist

Given that he actually achieved the feat of winning the Masters, it certainly cannot be called a failure.

I think it was something that had to be experienced sooner or later.

BUT However, I believe his talent as an IGL and initiator is far more impressive.

this is actually quite true though. can't even call this cope. also I personally never thought it meant much that they missed london, t1 did the same thing last year and NS are obviously rebounding. the roles were always the only issue, they are the most talented team in korea mechanically and when on are easily top 3 apac

Right. After all, just making it to Champs is what matters.

They just had the wrong meta read and some role issues. But i hope they’re finally used to it and can be consistent. Nongshim is a scary team if they have it all figured out. Insane players with a lot of firepower. They are like prx but without mental boom issues

i mean they just didn’t adapt to yoru nerfs after santiago and it fucked them, but they’ve figured it out

really all there is to it, everyone knows how good all 5 NS players are
