It depends on what you want. Diversity, political opinions, lifestyle can differ, even within states. The only constant is McDonalds.
It also depends on your preferred climate. Places like Florida (I spent five weeks there) are nearly unbearable during the summer (even if you aren't prone to sweating, you WILL be in Florida), and places like NY are unbearable during the winter (unless you're a native of NY, those guys are different). Somewhere like Virginia is nice. Pretty moderate with politics and lifestyle, on the East coast, and beaches nearby. I haven't spent much time there, but I may start my career there since the company for which I work operates in that state.\
If you're working, you'll get more pay in rough climate states (like Alaska), because nobody wants to live/work there.

California is pretty good, if you can get a well paying job here. South or the Bay area is fun if you don't have a lot of commitment to like family or something and you can just support yourself. North California is cool, but avoid stockton lol. Any further north than Sacramento/yuba and its way more nature with less to do other than hike and explore. Very expensive here tho. I could be living in a mansion in texas but here i pay 3.5k for a mid-tier apartment. Its fun though and most people are friendly.

Don't do him dirty by recommending California, I'm pretty sure it's one of the most disliked states in the country. A lot more regulations, but some are more progressive, so it's not all bad.

California is great if you stay North of Santa Barbara or South of San Clemente. LA is a hellscape and is the worst of both worlds CA has to offer.
Majority of landlocked states (not including great lakes states) east of the Rockies are shitholes. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to your face.
Texas is pretty cool but avoid Houston it fucking sucks there.
Upstate NY is cool and much cheaper/easier to live in than NYC. Also is close to a lot of major cities.
Avoid Ohio. There is no point elaborating. Cleveland is the 7th circle of hell.
Personal recommendation is either Washington, Oregon, Colorado, North Carolina, Florida, Texas or Northern California, depending on budget.

Everything else is freezing cold though so remember to bring multiple layers if you go anywhere in the top half of you united states. Also if New England during winter months, is honestly not super cold, but damn there's so much snow. It's very niche. Hiking and Camping are fantastic, and mountain biking is fun for the most part. I'm not sure about the skiing and snowboarding in Maine, but I guess that would be good, although I don't find skiing and snowboarding that fun.

I mean if you like it, those stuff are top notch in Maine, but then again it's very niche.

Great education, but it snowed really hard, then rained, then snowed some more. Shoveling snow is possible, shoveling ice is not lol. And Boston roads are a complete mess from a design standpoint.

Honestly only 2 reasons to be in Boston is for Clam Chowder no cap(Boston Clam Chowder better than maine, fight me), and education, but that highly depends on where you live. Just like most places it's the low commercial suburbs which have the best education, and there's great education programs as well. Shitty food otherwise though.

I'd include Louisiana in that list too except for NO maybe. Dallas-Fortworth is a rly good spot imo, but TX sux other than that. imo the best state is N.C. Beautiful, not too cold but not too hot, the "big" cities are not massive, but also not small.

https://www.wcvb.com/article/powerful-weekend-storm-possible-boston-massachusetts-approx-jan-29-2022/38871441

Bro, there is the same food throughout the country, that isn't why you choose to live somewhere. And are you bipolar? You just said there was very little snow and great roads and now you go off about how bad the snow and roads are, I'm so confused. Massachusetts is one of the best states, all of New England besides New Hampshire is awesome.

It was a joke lol, can you not sense sarcasm. New England is great tho, but it's not for most people due to the insane amounts of snow.

Cali is pretty friendly to people from other countries, I swear 3/4 of the population is either latino, viet, filipino or indian.

it's stupid expensive tho and taxes are fucked.

got a ton of tech-related jobs, though.

L.A. is a hellhole, don't go there.

I like cali, i live here, but it is very expensive. If you live in a suburb in the central valley, it is a little cheaper but a lot more boring. I'm guessing you like hot weather, so maybe Florida or texas? both have beaches. SoCal if u have the money LOL

I moved from Ohio to Charleston, and holy shit dude it is night and day.

I’m from illinois and visited Charleston a few times bc my sister was there for military stuff

It’s such a nice city compared to anywhere in my state

Given the chance I’d move there in an instance

Hello sir, can I interest you in rural Vic. Everything you love about Melbourne without all the things you hate about Melbourne. My to recommendation would probably be Ballarat, doesn't have the traffic issues of Geelong while still being a developing area that has a lot more of the comfort items unlike Bendigo, warnabool and Horsham. Weather is good and doesn't have the issue of massive seasonal tourism like wang and most places east of Melbourne.
A short hour or so from the surf coast and (if your so inclined) Melbourne.
Also cost of living is pretty fucking cheap, fuel significantly less than Melbourne, rent is a lot less than Melbourne (so is buying). Aswell great work opportunities along side a current big movement to work remotely.

Easy just stay in Aus

Thank you man , I'm considering to live in states that have similar climate like Melbourne

I'm from the west coast, love it and would recommend. I love the Northwest (Seattle and Portland) for temperate climate, but there really isn't much sun or warm weather. It can be expensive in the cities but if you go inland a bit it gets much cheaper.
