Tejo Buffs and Breach Rework

Note : if you do not agree this is not objective fact. CONSTRUCTIVE discussion would be nice but this is vlr so if you're that goblin moded. I feel bad for whoever cares about you

My tejo buffs
1) Give a 60s cooldown to Him on the missiles
2) Change the missiles to where it only pulses twice (i.e less delay but same effective angle clear), with 1 every 0.6s instead of 0.8s, with damage per pulse increased to 75 on the outer radius(5m from 4.5m) and 90 on the inner radius(2m). I.E effective damage dealt is the same but it lasts for a shorter time. From the old of 2.4s (0.8×3) to only 1.2s(0.6×2)
3) Tejo missiles can be shot by opponents having 100 hp, and on destruction detonate with the same properties as a special delivery on the player who broke it
Effectively just a breach aftershock on the floor.
The special delivery remains the same
4) Stealth drone gets a minor change of how its scan pulse now will scan everyone in the circle's area even if solid surfaces are present, with a size decrease from 18m to only 10m to compensate.
The idea- Put tejo with a weak recon but very good at flushing areas out and clearing out spaces hard to access normally

And now breach... sighs breach
1) Fault line width increased to 10m from 8m (just better coverage)
2) Fault line maximum length increased to 8m from 7m(same idea better coverage)
3) Charge time of fault line remains the same
4) Faultline, now winds up in only 0.9s from 1.1s
5) Faultline, does a secondary effect where all stunned enemies in that area, have a still image revealed at the moment of their feet only. (Think like cypher spycam dart except remove everything above the knee)
6) Flashpoint has a distance meter, the farther breach is from the detonating surface (the one where it actually detonates flashing), the lower the cooldown, with the minimum time being 0.4s at the maximum distance of 45m (35m from wall + 10m max penetration). Duration of flash decreased from 2.25s to 1.75s
7) Flashpoint does a secondary effect alongside the stun, called Tunnel vision for 0.5s(after the actual flash) where the peripheral vision is blurred(to around 55% of the screen from the edges) and overall turning sensitivity is reduced in speed by 15%(change as per frustration feeling). This effect, does not rely on LoS of the player to the flash, but only on the flash to the player (i.e, if it can see you, it does this)
8) Aftershock and Rolling Thunder remain same
The effective idea. Really just cement breach as the long line support rather than long line flush which tejo is. Giving him some level of conditional info because he really needs it to compete in this initiator environment

if ppl really want to give tejo cooldown on one of his abilities, then make the stun his primary and put the missiles instead of his stun, we do NOT need the tejo postplant meta to come back

Its why i reduced the effective duration. Cant really delay if your delay is only 3s if spaced perfectly

I disagree for 2 reason, people where complaining how unfun it was to play against Tejo with that and 2nd, he would still be weak. So we would have worst of both world, frustrating agent to play against, and weak agent. Instead, give 50s CD on his drone, every initiator that are map, are meta cause they've got info, TEjo lack of info, and this change make him finally something.

2) Change the missiles to where it only pulses twice

I do agree, it's insane, people can half defuse this safely

3) Stealth drone gets a minor change

Would be too strong especially if drone now have 50s CDs

About Breach, I disagree with the global idea, to me they are 2 option, either we turn him into a initiator, with info like every other init have, or we are turning him into a Duelest by reducing the unekip time after using a spell, allowing him to peak on his own flash. He will be never balanced if he stay on this "I'm a initiator flash only"

I was thinking on a stealth drone cooldown cuz its also really impactful.
It makes sense for a different archetype than the one riot made and it works with the current drone well for it.
Reason i didn't choose it is cuz fundamentally tejo's power fantasy is on being a munitions guy and wouldn't work, but i can agree with the alternate idea

As for breach he's not crap he just needs changes that allow him as these brute force flushing initiators to actually have some level of info cycling that supports the duelist.

I mordern Val you need at least :

  • 1 reveal / vision init
  • 1 controller
  • 1 diver

Thats the bare minimum, and then they are 2 spot left for 2nd duel, 2nd controller or a Sentinel
Since Breach isnt part of this list, he struggle a lot in the meta, even with massive up. They are also a real problem with the concept of flash, either you can't dodge the flash and it's broken, or you can dodge the flash and it become usless, more time pass, more people are able to dodge it, even in GC Tier 2 (low immo), team start to know how to dodge.

As for the flash itself. It isnt really as broken as it seems
If you get true flashed then its a full flash for 1.75s then the slowdown for 0.5s, equalling to the 2.25s of the original as before my proposed change
The brokenness only comes when we go at the dodge flash because only the tunnel vision hits then and it does the same thing decreasing ability to effectively see and fight. But thats for only 0.5s so you're rewarded more often to just not peek a breach flash at all, which allows you to condition it as a non setup then use it for an op and boom, people ded

I think that drone buff is a lot stronger than you think. not even sova/fade util does that, it would be like a mini Cypher ult.

Feet only is an interesting idea, what was your thoughts behind that?

I think overall I like your philosphy of making them a bit more specialized, hopefully they would find a better niche.

Like you can shoot the missiles down. The missiles carrying 100 hp total

As for the drone buff its effectively just a buffed kayo knife, hence why i put 10m scan radius where sova and fade have a 40m LoS radius

Feet only is an interesting idea, what was your thoughts behind that?

Basically we have 4 current info archetypes
1) Identity + Position -Sova, Fade
2) Identity only-KAY/O
3) Number of people present-Gekko(conditional)
4) Presence or Absence-Skye
Now this, is a 5th one of position no identity
Feet allows you to see the direction they're moving in to allow your duelist to preaim easier

i already posted my changes but rarely a response :< so im giving it here again
i like the current concept of tejo and breach of not being a hard info initiators, but excels in setting up team, makes for a variable initiators, like passive and reactive sentinels, and dome/wall controllers

i agree giving tejo 60s cooldown for the missiles, and make it 2 pulses to make it less irritating on post-plants
other than that, i think tejo is fine, maybe give the old drone huge scan back

as for breach, the problem he's too clunky and just not effective of an impact to hit, comparing to other support agent like sova and omen, here are my opinion of the changes:

  • removes slowing down when charging stun so he can jiggle/jump peek while holding the stun, like sova didn't even slow down when charging dart
  • add the earthly sound cue, and possibly visual cue (like earth crumble) when the stun is hit. I dont mind your idea of removing the length and increasing the widith
  • add the option to alt fire for surface flash like vyse, so he has the option to fight through smoke via pop flashing the floor (phoenix, kayo, skye, yoru all can pop flash through smoke), and remove the travel time altogether like vyse so it insta flash however far you're, increase the equip weapon time to skye equip weapon time (0.8s) to balance it
  • give back the old ult size and duration, and make it 9 orb. Doesn't make sense when waylay ult lasts longer and brim ult size stays the same.
  • aftershock is good
