Honestly, I watched a lot of EDG games and here's what I have to say. The reason why EDG hasn't looked the best is because their players aren't adapting to the newer meta, it's not like they can't, because they definitely can but it's because KangKang is still stuck in the older meta and it's kind of hard for him to adapt to new meta. For example, look at Smoggy Phoenix or Nobody on Fade, they can adapt, but KangKang is a bit stuck on his roles making others adapt around him and honestly it's sad because as much as we all love and adore him, we really need to find a better agent pick for him.

Chamber technically if possible, also think about it, if they could in last map try Chichoo/Jieni in Vyse, but why didn't they?
Also I hate to say it KK is very much an operator merchant. Very operator reliant, its saddening, he's like the Aspas of Asia. Smoggy entries every round pretty much.
Edit: What I mean to say is that they lost the final map because their defense side had no sentis at all and no plans at all either.
Yeah you don't watch val. Kk is one of the best dive duelist. He creates space so well for edg and has been doing that for years now. One off game and he is now playing like aspas lol.
Lowkey it was part of what won them Champs '24. I remember PRX getting picked apart by EDG's attacking executes on Lotus
EDG would have 2-0'd if KangKang locked in. Everyone is saying how impressive PRX is when they were hard trolling for the first 2 maps and only went double OT due to winning 4/4 pistols. KangKang singlehandedly sold the series.
just a bad day honestly. The fact that kk didn't do so well on 2 maps and them losing like 5 pistol but it still went 3rd map is telling. Honestly I watched EDG enough to know when they on lowers they kinda locked in.
bad day for prx more than edg, the amount of clutches/hero rounds edg got was the bigger reason they won breeze and fracture was that close
edg can bounce back and win the lower finals
wouldn’t it mean that EDG had a rough day individually? PRX should’ve capitalized on it easily given that they won 4/4 pistols on breeze and split but yet they barely squeaked by
thats cuz prx had a bad day, not edg; prx's gameplan and strats were way better than edg, in almost all the rounds prx got an advantage till spike got planted; it was just bad day for prx teamplay wise, that they got picked off
nobody got a 1 hp 1v2, kk got a 2v5 ace, chichoo got a 3v5 or 2v4 4k; all these show prx were disoriented
Yes without a doubt PRX is one of the best and experienced teams. But think of it like this, losing your own map pick while being 1-0 up is some level of stupidity, this doesn't mean you did wrong it's that there could have been better implementation of the rounds

Tbf we weren't expecting any deep runs to begin with so I think as CN fans we've really won this time around.

for breeze, vitality runs the same comp
for fracture, full sense ran the same comp
for split, paper rex runs the same comp
all very normal comps that the top teams in the world run
kangkang doesn't need need to find new agents
more of a possibility is that edg wants to play those comps instead of kang kang limiting edg
They looked very weak defense side, no control no pressure for anything on last map. They do need a better team strat. Like map 3 nobody is healing KK most of the game he really can't do much, Smoggy taken off Phoenix to play raze is just sad honestly, like you still could have made Phoenix work somehow in the last map or even get a senti like vyse.
kangkangs neon was great in 2024 (learnt the hard way), he's just not playing well now
Neon is just nerfed honestly and there isn't any teamwork in this team, when KK is playing Neon, KK is dying alone almost everytime he's on Neon. He is acting like he's playing Jett on Neon and I feel sorry now.
i gonna say,have 2 cn teams at playoffs is above my expectations,kk is not so good today,hope he wake up at lower finals
This meta is actually good for EDG, Neon & Yoru nerf help them
KK Neon is just average and his yoru is horrible
yea that's the point I'm trying to make, KK needs a better agent pool, so his teammates can play something else and support him better.
