I feel like H2H is such a terrible way to decide a tie breaker especially as a first tie breaker. ENVY will have much better stats than LOUD on EVERY STAT and are a map over them, and LOUD only has 4 maps in. I feel like map win loss and round diff should 100% be the main tie breakers cause having H2H just makes every single stat useless

i mean yea but ENVY played much more consistently in their other matches, I don't think one series should be the difference on team quals and one team doesnt. ex: if c9 won vs g2, it would just feel so fucking wrong for c9 to make playoffs over g2. but luckily it didnt happen
Their last 3 matches were 8-26, 10-26, and 26-4. Where is the consistency?
ok fine they werent consistent but they still definitely had a better showing over LOUD
because they showed that even after having such a HORRENDOUS early few games they still managed to overall do better against the same teams
It definitely becomes a controversial topic when it comes to lower seeds but thats how you make every group stage game count, or else it ends before youve even played 5 games sometimes before youve even played 4
say a world where MIBR won today, LEV"s game just doesn't matter if they wanna fight for #1 seed because of it
Champs points from winning are still very important, and the other complaint is a flaw of group stages no matter the format.
If you don't like H2H tiebreakers, well the tournament format next year can be an answer to that. The kickoff triple elim format was fire aside from the back-to-back Bo5 scheduling problem
