meL shared that she was recently diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, and that she is stepping away from competing to give herself the best chance to work on her mental health.

"I want to thank my teammates for the patience and support they've had for me during this time," she said. "... If we don't team up again in the future, I want everyone to know competing with you all has been some of the best times of my life and I'm grateful to have been among such great company... I also want to thank everyone at Shopify Rebellion for being incredibly supportive in this process and having my back the whole way."
