Despite a tough loss to start Stage 1, ENVY bounced back with a close 2-1 series win over a struggling Cloud9. Statistically, OXY played well on Neon, but the combination of both Demon1 and keznit playing strongly on ENVY was enough to bring the team record to 1-1.
Demon1 shoots three down with the Chamber ultimate against Cloud9.Just after, FURIA faced Evil Geniuses, and the underdog started strong on map one to win Haven in overtime. FURIA had to rebound quickly, and the team did just that with a 13-5 win on Pearl and a masterclass artzin Vyse performance on Lotus to end the series 2-1.
The next day started with G2 against LEV, and G2 was desperate to earn its first win of Stage 1. Breeze was a 13-6 victory with trent ending the map with 24 kills, but the next two maps were familiar close losses. LEV won the series 2-1, with both Sato and Neon leading the way as G2 remain winless in Stage 1. After that series was a Brazilian rivalry match of MIBR versus LOUD, and aspas delivered against his former team with a 2-0 sweep and consistency across both maps.
After defeating a Sentinels roster running a substitute duelist, KRÜ now had to defeat the former champs after a tough loss. On paper, NRG was primed to return to form, but Lotus ended with saadhak saying no to everything NRG tried. The combination of the former LOUD teammates on the controller roles stopped anything NRG tied, with Less standing out on Split to secure the 2-0 sweep over NRG.
KRÜ easily handles a pistol round against NRG on Split.Last but not least, Sentinels faced 100 Thieves with Jerrwin finally joining the roster. The teamwork from Sentinels was much improved in week two, and despite Jerrwin not top fragging in the series, an intense 19-17 overtime in map two was highlighted by a cortezia masterclass and a deceitfully tough 2-0 sweep from Sentinels.
cortezia gets four with the Bucky against 100T.With these results, MIBR and KRÜ lead their respective groups, while LEV and FURIA remain right behind them. Four teams are winless in Stage 1 after this week, including G2 Esports, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, and NRG.
Week three for Americas Stage 1 will go as follows:
